QPR Turn To Sunderland Defender Titus Bramble In Search For Centre-Back

Defender could be heading to Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has turned his attention to Sunderland defender Titus Bramble in his bid to bring in a new centre-back to aid the club’s battle against relegation.

Redknapp has so far failed in his quest to add to his defensive options following Ryan Nelsen’s appointment as head coach of Toronto FC in the MLS, being turned down in approaches for Manchester City’s Joleon Lescott, West Brom’s Jonas Olsson and Everton’s Sylvain Distin.

Despite continued interest in Tottenham’s William Gallas, Redknapp is said to have made a move to sign Bramble from Sunderland, who would be keen to do a deal rather than let Bramble run down his contract to its conclusion in the summer when they are obliged to offer new terms if he starts more than five games this season.

The 31-year-old Bramble has only played a bit-part role for Sunderland this season following the arrival of Carlos Cueller in the summer. He did start in Saturday’s 3-0 win over West Ham – his third start of the season, but injuries forced manager Martin O’Neill’s hand.

Sunderland are set to bring in Senegal defender Kader Mangane on loan for the remainder of the season which could pave the way for Bramble’s exit from the Stadium of Light.

Must be like Harry pretending to want to manage Ukraine. If he isn't given the right number of millions for the market Bramble will take us down!

The only reason we want rid is because he's a rapist who gives the club a bad name.

He's a different class to Anton and as a footballer a very good player, much better then anything you have now.

think this song may of had something to do with Bramble and Quinn

Quinn has his own song titled "Niall Quinn's Disco Pants". The song was originally created by Manchester City supporters during a night out on a pre-season tour in Penola, Italy. It was 1992. There had been a bust-up with City team-mate Steve McMahon and Quinn had removed his torn and bloodied shirt and was dancing with Rick Holden wearing just a pair of cut-off jeans. He was "hardly aware" that there were a group of hardcore City fans watching and they treated him to "the first performance of the song that will follow me till the end of my career."[10] The chorus went, to the tune of the standard football chant Here We Go:
Niall Quinn's disco pants are the best,
They go up from his arse to his chest,
They are better than Adam and the Ants,
    Niall Quinn's disco pants!

No, we've found that little bit beneath the bottom!
A terrible centre half with a terrible reputation off the field.
Accused of rape twice is it?
