Harry Redknapp Should Not Be Allowed to Spend in January By Aaron Gales (Correspondent) on January 11, 2013 Will Harry Redknapp be allowed to spend in January? Paul Gilham/Getty Images I'm sure many QPR fans will disagree with the title of my article, but it would make absolutely no sense at all for Harry Redknapp to spend any of Tony Fernandes' money during the transfer window. Although it is clear that the squad aren't good enough to survive in the Premier League, whoever they manage to get in will not be good enough to keep them in the league. They are too far adrift. There are two people to blame for this: Mark Hughes and Tony Fernandes. Hughes was given far too much time and money by the owner and the club are paying for it now. He has wasted money on players such as Bobby Zamora, Djibril Cissé and many others, paying out huge wages to the players in the process. After the dreadful start to the season that QPR suffered, Fernandes was extremely stubborn in his refusal to sack Hughes. While I would normally admire a chairman backing his manager, results were so bad that he should have been sacked long before he eventually was. There had been signs the previous season that all was not well under the stewardship of Hughes. He only kept them up by the skin of their teeth despite losing on the final day to Manchester City. Had Bolton managed to win, then Rangers would have been relegated. All of these factors have left Redknapp too much to do. They are doomed whether they spend in January or not, so they might as well save their money. The players that would be willing to join them when they are in such dire straits would more than likely be joining for the wrong reasons anyway and the club would be better off without them. They are already going to have a big wage bill to reduce when they drop back to the Championship. Why make it any bigger?
Article by Aaron Gales. I knew it had to be something to do with wind. Here is a direct quote from the guy: "Hey everyone, I am brand new to the Bleacher Report so go easy on me. I have joined this website to boost my online profile as I continue to expand my career in Sports Journalism. Look forward to chatting to you all more!!" Oh dear. Not even a proper ****** journo, just and aspiring one!
Asshole, this guy is as inviting as a fart in an elevator.................. We are NOT doomed, we WILL survive!
5 points from safety with four months left in the season is too far adrift? F*** me. By that rationale man utd have won the title then. Man city should just give up.
Just like Man City gave up last year...in nearly the same position!!! We can DEFINITELY get out of trouble....but will we...Don't know!
Poor lad doesnt understand that relegation is normally decided on the last game in may.He doesnt know the clubs finances anymore than we do so while theres a chance we have to go with it. Another anti rangers journo.
You know, I'm seriously thinking about submitting something to the Bleacher. Their football knowledge is bloody shocking!!!
He isn't a journo. He WANTS to be a journo and so is writing "sports" pieces and sticking them up on sites. He hopes that it will increase his profile and he can say that he has "published" xyz number of stories/articles. You or I could do that. I sent a oneliner into Newsjack (radio 4 extra). They used it and I ws paid a few quid. (£18) Does that make me a comedy writer? No.
