Problem is by not buying, Wenger does more harm than good to players like Diaby. After being out for three months, Wenger has to throw him in when he is not ready, and as a result he looks poor and gets slated for it. If we actually had some depth, we could ease him back in and not have to place such importance on such a fragile player.
Absolutely agree. Rosicky has this about him at times too. Not many other Arsenal players do - at all. The play is too one-dimensional.
They call these people "playmakers " as if they have some special ability. Its not that at all , . Its that they chose to do something , ANYTHING with the ball , other than pass it sideways again. The single most annoying and frustrating thing about our team over the last few seasons is the endless passing for no apparent reason.. This philosophy of " if you cant see a way thru , just pass again" is a f@cking disaster. even when we are losing and theres 10 minutes left they stick to it. Heres the better philosophy . If you cant see a way through , MAKE one , you divvy "
Early sending off obviously spoilt the game as a genuine contest but I thought this was the worst arsenal side I've ever seen city play, lacking in quality pretty much throughout. Cazorla seems a shadow of the player who terrorised us at the Etihad earlier in the season and Walcott might as well have not bothered playing,he was utterly anonymous. One trait I always remember arsenal for is their ability to pick up the second ball and that was missing today, even allowing for being a man down as city strolled through the game without getting out of second gear. Surprisingly Ramsey looked bright when he came on,I've not rated him from what I'd seen before but he played well.Diaby clearly isn't fit and it seems a bit of a gamble with his record throwing him in early? Where would you like to see strengthened in the transfer window? I would've thought a powerful DM a must for the shopping list?
We need to learn to use a system that suits the players we have available. Depending on who that is and when.
I've had a ****ing **** day.The bus was 30 mins late as the original bus had a flat battery.Went for a couple of beers and then decided to give the Rocket a try.Walking up the road from Bear's roundabout to Holloway Road the police were cordoning off the road and not letting people near the ground.Apparently a car that was trying to use the stadium car park (one of the prawn sandwich brigade)came to the attention the attention of an explosives sniffing police dog.The police went into action because they thought it was possibly a bomb.It turns out the car owner had been carrying fireworks and the dog could smell the residue. At the time the police were saying it could affect the game.I wish it ****ing had.The less said about the game the better Fair play to the team though for trying their best
I bet it was really you who pissed up the side of that car's tyre and the sniffer dog smelt the Moonshine you'd been drinking on the coach.
IMO City still would have won 11 v 11, even for the opening 5 minutes or so you got out the blocks quicker and Hansen (who I never agree with) actually spoke sense. Only one team out there believed they could win and City were hungrier for every ball. Every City player to a man stood up to be counted with outstanding performances from Tevez, Dzeko, Zabaleta, Kompany and Milner.
Chester is only a couple of miles from the coast.Have a look at a map of Wales and you'll see What makes you think i live in Chester ?
Pretty much bang on. I know I am only 22, but this is the worst Arsenal team I have seen. As you say, even before the sending off we were getting bossed, so can't really pin everything on the red card. Cazorla is a quality player but he has been run into the ground because we have such a **** squad and for someone who is new to this league, it's hardly a shock that Cazorla has faded.
You're lucky you're only 22.You'd have slit your wrists if you'd had to endure some of the **** i've seen over years.
