A draw against Ipswich at home and people are talking about a dip in form... they've done really well under their very own MM and came here to get a point. they got what they wanted and could have won. No big deal IMO because things went out way. Seeing Tommy Smith come back really cheered me up because he looks (and always did) like the sort of player we need. Yes, we need someone to put the ball in the net, yes, we need a right back. But, lets face it, we are the team to beat now... but we didn't lose.
Don't think Jerome, Zigic or Austin is what we need but when all the January moves are done what about Holt on loan from Norwich if they get another striker in.
How about Gary Hooper at Celtic. Rumours are talks have broken down and he is looking at a way out. Unfortunately Newcastle, Southhampton and Liverpool are also looking at him. Has a good game to goal ratio.
If Leicester were top and we were third 10 points behind, every Cardiff fan would say they had it sown up and we would be chasing second spot. So lets be more positive its ours to lose, the pressure is on Leicester, Hull, Palace and Boro. Friday night Boro play Leicester, they both cant win and a draw's no good to either (but very good for us). So Saturday morning we will be worse case scenario 7 points clear of one of them and 10 points clear of the other with a game in hand.
If you look on the Leicester board RL, that is exactly what they are doing. All the talk is about who is coming up and might knock them out of second place, no mention of catching us. But of course that could change very rapidly after the next 4 games, specially the last of those. KTF
Being a Cardiff fan and being negative go hand in glove, so perhaps we should all try to be a little more positive, you never know we may get to like it. I agree Xsnaggle by the end of February, we should see a much clearer picture. Hopefully a "positive" picture KTF.
