Taff the reason I mentioned Jones is because his sides folded. That's a fact.

We are 10 points clear of 3rd. Either other teams will improve or we will fold. I don't believe we will fold because of our current manager.

Stead????????? That's a joke surely. The wurzels are bottom as they are rubbish. The reason they are rubbish is because they have the likes of Stead.

Steve Howard I think your talking about Sparkey. Think hes at Hartlepool or somewhere like that. He could have done a job if a couple of years younger.

It was Steve Howard - thanks for that Hilts.

As for Stead and Howard right now, we might as well have kept Parkin. We need to go forward not backwards.

Helguson is the only hope we have up front causing similar problems. As long as the ball arrives in the air, he'll have a fair chance of winning it. On the other hand if it arrives on the deck, he's ****ed.

As much as I appreciate what he's done, we need another option.

    I agree.

We need a more mobile version of Helgusson and im afraid Helgusson just doesn't look a threat on the deck.

Id attempt to get Cameron Jerome.

Theres talk of Sordell but I don't think he would have made any difference yesterday and id rather stick with Mason.

Jerome has pace , power and strenghth.

Tactically id have swapped the wingers yesterday. Both doing too much cutting inside.

Whittingham also shouldn't be undroppable. Many more performances like that then Malky has to give Ralls his chance.

Though Whitts im sure will come good.

But chances of Stoke letting him go and us signing him are slim.

While Ralls is a good prospect I see little in him at present to warrant playing him instead of Whitts. He is not quick and, for now, doesn't have the same passing range, vision or close control as Whittingham. To consider dropping Whitts and playing Ralls would be a real risk not worth taking.

I also think Whitts will return to form and as i have said before, he didn't look fully fit yesterday, fading badly in the second half.

Hes not a regular in their starting line up.

If they wont sell then fair enough.

I reckon they would for the right price.

Thing is I dont think Malky has any intention of signing him.

    Hilts!
Malky must now accept we have to go for this type of player. What is the point in Marshall lobbing the ball up front to someone like Rudy against a decent defence. I know the lad tries but it's just too much for the lad to hold up a ball. Cam would boss up front and wouldn't be inept with a ball at his feet. Does Malky have any intentions of signing him or a player in the same mould? I might be proven wrong but I think Malky is a bloody good poker player.

I am not disputing the facts Hilts, with almost boring regularity you make snide comments about DJ for no apparent reason. It's fine you do not think him a good manager but to belittle what he did, for Cardiff City, is childish.
He served us well under difficult circumstances and is to date the best manager we have had in the last 50 years. MM may eclipse that and I hope he does but I do not think anyone should forget the good DJ did in during his time here. To continuely make sniping comments also detracts from you very valid and eloquent points. So I ask you to give it a rest with regard to DJ as you cannot see the good he did given his limitations and those imposed upon him by the hierarchy during his tenure.

Read my comment about Jon Stead again and have a think about what I was actually saying.

I don't want Jerome can anyone remember when he left this club?!? He thought he was to good for us! And he hasn't exactly set the world a light in the EPL?

We do need a striker if we don't want to buy one then surely a loan signing is ideal? I keep mentioning Guidetti from Man City he won't get a game in at city with the players they got!

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Guidetti

I've seen him play he's everything we are after tall powerful and quick

    lateboy!
Cam has current Prem experience, from what I can see the Swedish lad has none.

I suspect Cam would come a lot cheaper too.

I disagree! Jerome would cost us easily 5mil and plus wages?! I just don't like Jerome maybe its me holding a grudge against him!!

I think if we were going to spend that much I would rather look at someone like Charlie Austin?

Are Birmingham still in financial problems? maybe Zigic could be a lil bargain...

Personally I do not think Jerome is the answer. Was always lazy and poor at tracking back, not sure he has the right attitude either. Need to be looking more lom
Ng term in my opinion and that ain't Jerome.

I don't think Jerome is the answer either but the player we're looking for certainly doesn't seem to be easily available at the moment. Looks like MacKay is going to have to pull another rabbit out of the bag....

My thoughts exactly! He had a huge attitude problem when he was last here! And thought he was to big for this club...and not a great goals to game ratio in they PL either

To be fair at the time, he was too big for the club. At the time he was not much older than Rudy, but what a difference in quality. If it wasn't for the £4m from his sale we would never have signed the likes of Chops, McPhail etc. I only saw an ambitious youngster, he has nothing to prove now.

Very true. He didnt ask for the move. I thought he was a brilliant young player for us.

He didnt run to the press and mouth off. He was a youngster put on the spot and asked a question.

What was he supposed to say?. I wish I was still at Cardiff.

Cameron also turned up at City away games for a time after he left.

Never wound our fans up either like Chris Gunter.

His goalscoring record isnt great for the PL. BUT we are a Championship club and if we dont address our attack we might stay as one.

If its not Jerome then it needs to be someone with his attributes in my opinion.

However its Malkys opinion that matters and we are 8 clear so im happy to back him whatever he decides.

For some reason it won't let me quote you but we got Chopra and Mcphail on free transfers although we did pay a small compensation fee to Newcastle!

We all agree we do need a striker in the mould of Jerome but I personally feel he won't come cheap and theres cheaper alternatives (Charlie Austin)

But we are 8 clear so in Malky We Trust
