Man U 2 Liverpool 1 and Pool missed a sitter or two. Do we have a chance of a point or three next week I'm thinking?

  3. Well, the last 30 mins proved they are susceptible. Rafael is a weak link - falls asleep (bit like our own Kyle W) - and Ferdinand/Vidic combination didn't look that solid. Trouble is, do we have the firepower to put them under the same pressure that the Mousers did for 30 mins?
Whatever United team turn up next weekend, we will need to be at our very best. I would take a draw right now.

  4. Koscielny off. Good decision - poor pen though

*edit Martin Keown thinks it was a terrible decision - well there's a surprise!!

Wow!...I've thought for some time now, when is something going to be done about these constant penalty area wrestling matches that seem to occur at every corner. Well, I guess today was that day. Be interesting to see how everybody reacts to that decision!..

But red cards don't change games though do they? Obviously City would have won anyway.

  13. That's the conundrum CJ - almost matching levels of dislike!!.
Was hoping for a draw actually, but this runs it a close 2nd!!

I don't like the what teams like Chelsea and Man City have brought to football and like you I hoped for a draw. However now they are losing I hope they get stuffed!!

  15. Too be fair - most on the Goons board accept the decisions. Only me or two numbskulls having a go at Dean.
Niall Quinn however now changing his original comments - agreed with sending off at the start, now Goons are 2 down he is less in agreement....

I can understand their frustration as its so gutting when you look forward to a big match all week and within the first 20 minutes you are down to 10 men. It is 99 out of 100 times against the top teams game over. However their was little empathy towards us only "we would have won anyway" so I am finding it very funny watching lots of p*ssed off Gooners!

  17. A 3rd before half time would be nice.... That really would bring the pains on!!

  18. Before both matches, I started a "predict the score" thread for the United & £ity matches, with me predicting that 'Pool and Gunners would lose. I'm bang on course for a full compliment so far.

I must admit, that I thought 'Pool would get tonked harder than they did, but they actually put up some kind of fight, towards the end.

By contrast, I thought that Arsenal would give £ity a good run for their money (although, ultimately, lose), but they are already getting torn apart. Second half could be extremely embarrassing for them.

Kind of agree to that. I think the advent of "new money" in the game has modified traditional rivalries. I actually dislike Chelski and Man$ity more than Arsenal these days. This is not saying that I like Arsenal by the way!

I definitely hate Chelsea the most. I don't like City but I can't say I hate more than Arsenal, no way! :)
For me my order of hated teams is:

    Chelsea
    Arsenal
    West Ham
    Liverpool
    Man City
    Man United
