I'd be happy with Di Canio but I wonder if he's in the slightest bit interested in us

I think O'Driscoll can do the job - eventually, but so could have Del. Either way, barring a miracle we will be in L1 next season

O'Driscoll's style is passing the ball. Forgotten now what that looked like in a City team. He would need time to bring his style around, but I want to see a man at the helm who has a clear story to his team.

Once upon a time City did put out passing teams.

I would love to be able to point out to my son that City teams get the ball down and play a very obvious style of passing football. Unfortunately the likes of Peterbrough have far more players than City who are comfortable on the ball.

Kilkenny under the name attached to this topic could be a part of the future.

If indeed SOD joins on monday it will mean for the first time in this whole debacle that we have been proactive rather that the usual reactive. That alone is a positive step in a very negative environment.

I'm feeling good so a bit more sarcasm. Proactive management and passing football all in one season?

    Be still my aching heart.

Mr O'driscoll...Just the man we want, may not save us from the drop, however I believe he can, in time, give us a team to be proud of!!

All I want is to see attractive football being played at the gate. Instead of hoofing it away having the confidence and skill to play the ball on the floor all the way up to the oppenents end. Maybe SOD can get the best out of Kilkenny

The best out of Kilkenny, I would rather see a manger get Kilkenny out of the club.

He plays well up forward but needs a 2 man central midfield to protect him, but he has done this to two managers now, he tries to think he is Ineista and think he can sit deep and curve out the prefect ball. The Leeds fans were 100% correct when they pissed themselves laughing at us for getting him off them <doh>

I see what you're saying rod but put the likes of suarez or aguero in a team like west ham under Allardyce then they wont score half as much as they do for Liverpool and man city. It all goes down to how you play which suits the player. SoD might play the type of game kilkenny thrives on. So he could make him a good player. I don't rate NK but you can see he can be a good player when he wants to be.

Yes I can but to get the best out of him if and that is a big IF, he stays forward.

But like I said to do that he needs a five man midfield, so take your pick who losses out to play him.

I would be happy if he proved me wrong. But until then I will cringe everytime he is picked <ok>

who misses out is quite simple. FONTAINE!

team for Leeds (on what we currently have)

    Heaton
    Skuse Bates Carey Cunningham
    Burns Elliott Kilkenny Reid Anderson
    Baldock

No McManus so Carey gets the nod over James Wilson and fontaine

Why not give Elliott a 2nd chance? seems everyone else has had more. One bad bit of form doesn't make him a bad player. Bearing in mind he came back from injuries. Never let us down with commitment before and always gives 100% something we need. And no to Kelly ROD, Not saying he isn't good because it looks like he has potential but Reid showed him up wuth the 10 minutes he played so that's why ive gone for him. No davies as it seems he cant play 2 games in a row so just being realistic. Plus if Baldock isn't playing well we need someone to come off the bench and be more of a goal threat. Do you think we have that in stead and taylor? NO.

The thing is Shiny, because DM tried to adopt his formation and team to beat the opposition, we never really got to the bottom of whether the team changed every 5 minutes due to fitness or horses for courses. Guess we will find out soon enough...

As for Kilkenny, I have remained pretty neutral on him so don't have the absolute hatred for him that some seem to have developed. You know my views on a few but he isn't one of those I would exclude (plus he is here until 2014 anyway).

The important words there are could and maybe.

Last season away at Millwall the Australian had a game that a suggested inside there is a talent. In a team that passes the ball fluently he could be an asset. A team that passes the ball fluently does not describe BCFC.

Several seasons ago a Doncastor team of average to modest abilty gave a display that was eye opening. Kilkenny could have easily been incorporated into the manner that team played.
