You guys did great the last 30 mins as probably already said you need to start with Sturridge and Suarez together the difference was big with a partner for Suarez...Different starting line up would have made for a hell of a game..

got what we deserved and no complaints. webb gave us most key decisions, and I don't know what they're rabbiting on about the 'offside' goal - had we scored that and it was given offside I'd have thrown a brick through the telly.

This United side look irresistable going forward, but are ordinary in defence. Christ, even Newcastle proved that. Not having a go at Brendan, but we should have started with Sturridge, and that's not hindsight. Thought we were lucky to go off 1-0 down at half time.... but the plusses. Wisdom - ****ing lion. Sturridge - no young Torres but plays well with Suarez, thank God.

Minuses - Joe allen looked like a little boy lost in the first half. Johnson is great going forward, but there was no excuse for the second goal. Sterling needs to hold the ball and pick his passes when under the cosh. Lucas needs to stop getting himself booked in the first half.

And.... United are streets ahead the best team in the Prem and they're going to walk the league, even with a suspect defence, because they have van persie and the toby jug to come back in. ****.

Wisdoms challenge on Kagawa. Even Souness and Redknapp 2 of your former players agreed it was a pen:biggrin:

Can't/won't argue that Downing and Allen were crap. Sterling was poor but then he has been for the last few games and needs a rest. Lucas is finding it hard to regain the level that he was at before his injury. Apart from that we were Brilliant! No, that's not true but the performances of Downing, Allen and Lucas ensured that we were never going to be.

Now its unlikely that Rodgers will unload Allen but please find a replacement for Downing!

never a penalty, used his strength and just eased him out the way. The fact he didn't complain would make me think he knew it wasn't a pen.

Also, both of those two are terrible pundits so <ok>

Think Suarez looked potentially even more dangerous as a 10 than a 9 second half, the United CBs and CMs didnt know what the f**k to do, think Mourinho in the stsnds will have been licking his lips at the space Suarez had in the hole 2nd half, Roy Hodgson will have been thinking " Oo look at all those men running about"

Seems that in Sturridge we may finally have a "tap in" striker, someone who goes near post for guys in behind, was disappointed Sterling was taken off, our best player 1st half, and not SD

It didn't affect the result either way, but he played Kagawa rather than the ball. It was a clear pen, and arguably a sending off considering he prevented a clear goal scoring opportunity

Thought Sterling was poor. Didn't take on his man once and offered just as much as Downing (not a lot). He's going to be a good player but he's been used too much this season and his form has faltered because of it. Now we have Borini/Sturridge then hopefully we'll see him get a rest and re-charge his batteries.

Ach the penalty & offside are both technically correct in super 3 angle slomo but neither was that blatant you'd have a go at the officials. If both had gone the other way it would still have more than likely resulted in a second goal for united eventually.

They deserved the win because they out played us long enough for it to matter.

Result showed why we both are where we are in the league.

Difference between using your strength to ease someone out the way (he didn't have the ball either so was just a shoulder barge for position) and hacking someone down and taking the man and none of the ball.

There was contact, but it's a contact sport - he Kagawa was stronger he could have brushed Wisdom off and tapped it in <ok>

D's you must have seen something I didn't because I thought Sterling was as unproductive as Downing today. Not writing him off but as others said and like Allen he needs a few games rest/ on the bench.

That's right I had forgot about Ronaldo "crashing his car" and getting into the headlines to prevent the Da Silva story going mainstream.

Forums were all talking about Da Silva though even if papers were more interested in the fake Ronaldo car crash story.
