Did anyone watch the game? Purely by the stats sounds like QPR were very lucky to get anything from that, let alone win. Wouldn't it be nice if we won a game we didn't deserve to.

Thats about right ! Its not worth worrying about every word uttered by these media commentators & pundits, their comments are mostly meaningless.

I've seen the highlights on Sky. A couple of fairly decent saves from Cesar (not sensational, but decent), including one from Torres, whilst Moses should have turned in a Marin cross. Ivanovic flicked a couple of headers just over the bar - but they'd have probably both been saved if they'd have been on target.

Nice finish from outside the box from SWP.

Agreed I just won't watch Sky Sports News for a couple of days until the Arry love fest has died down.

I suppose the Arsenal draw was perhaps unexpected by the media, but hardly undeserved. We're turning things round by hardwork, but a little jammy win would be nice (sorry, I believe spawny is the new word:smile:).

Kinda feels like we are never going to get a jammy three points though. Well, not this season anyway.

The world is now saying how QPR are quality and are unlucky to be bottom, pundits literally react every week like it was the end of it

Benitez defending his decision to rest players...saying that you should be able to trust players to play the team bottom of PL. He's right of course, but he has discovered what happens if you don't show respect to any team and the team don't start a game in the right manner. Think that is what happened to Arsenal...we outplayed them and they couldn't snap themselves out of their laid back attitude with which they started the game. Sadly we didn't get all 3 points. Ridiculous I know but just one win for QPR has made me twitchy as the Sunderland result has shaken my confidence for the Aston Villa game. Need a daily fix of Adkins positivity.

One flukey win in a West London derby, and they're going to defy history by becoming the first team to survive in the prem after being 8 points adrift in Jan? Don't think so. Benitez got what he deserved for disrespecting his opponents and putting out a weakened team. QPR are down, so are Reading.

Bump. Heh, I'm on the money as it stands.

As it is please. Saints to finish 15th and those three to go down.

If we can get something out of our next two games I think we will still have a gap. Fixtures next weekend are in our favour with Reading at Newcastle, Wigan playing in form Sunderland and QPR at West Ham.

I know QPR are bottom, but I wouldn't put if past them to beat West Ham. West Ham put their points on the board early (best way to do it), but are now slumping a bit, though I am not predicting a major collapse. QPR and Reading are both getting the odd win, but we proved how hard it is to make up lost ground. Reading's strength is that they can score, so they may beat Newcastle. Wouldn't like to call the Wigan v Sunderland match. I don't think we will get anything at Chelsea, so Everton at SMS should be interesting.

I think the situation is still pretty fluid. The worse two teams in the league at the moment are Reading and Villa and I don't think either club has the strength in depth for a pro-longed relegation fight. Although they are at the bottom of the league, QPR are the best organised team in the relegation zone and I have a sneaky suspicion that Redknapp will end up saving them. The only problem they have is that they lost so many points at the beginning of the season yet , with the possibility of strengthening in the January window (with all sorts of names being dropped by Redknapp) I think they have the possibility of pulling off the same miraculous kind of escape that Harry managed at Portsmouth. I wouldn't write QPR of at all. As for the other teams, Wigan always seem to survive and Newcastle will surely hit some better form in the coming months. I wouldn't mind betting that West Ham eventually get dragged in to the battle as well. So, for me, it's Reading and Villa with Wigan the team Saints fans need to be keeing an eye on.

I felt exactly the same at exactly this time last season! Still, that worked out OK didn't it? Not that I want it to go to the last day this season, no, no, please not that again! <yikes>

When West Ham were riding high, earlier in the season, and Saints were shell-shocked at the bottom, I replied to Trixter, who had come on here, giving it plenty, that I wouldn't be surprised to see West Ham make a slow, but steady, slide down the table, and possibly finish below Saints, in the end. I believe he retorted with some sort of you must be joking quip. But it's entirely possible. We're much closer to them now, and we've learned from our baptism of fire. They won't go down though and neither will we.
