Van Persie scores again. Who needs rivals when you have Arsenal Football Club? We're our own worst enemy, getting rid of our best players to rivals.

If that was Arsenal, our striker would probably look to have a second touch, or look to pass it again.

I think the board were ok with selling van Persie to United because they feel we won't be competing with United for the title for the foreseeable future, so might as well get some money instead of letting him leave for free.

Once again as many have explained, our high goal count is down to a few games where we just scored a lot, we got 12 goals in 2 games against Newcastle and Reading. Yet there have been many many games were we lacked any sharpness up front. Sunderland, Everton, Norwich, Swansea, Villa, Southampton....

Trying to argue for our goal count as if our attack has been strong is utterly deceptive to the max, and even you know this.

Most of United, Chavski and City's goals have come from those games.

Erm no, not really, United have a good goal scoring record, mostly down to RVP.

Our goal count IS because of such games, not for United, City, or Chelsea.

RVP's had a couple of misses now trying to be too flashy. Serves him right

What part of these United results show that most of their goals have come from 'those games':

Aug 20 FT Everton 1-0 Manchester United 38,415 Premier League
Aug 25 FT Manchester United 3-2 Fulham 75,352 Premier League
Sep 2 FT Southampton 2-3 Manchester United 31,609 Premier League
Sep 15 FT Manchester United 4-0 Wigan Athletic 75,142 Premier League
Sep 23 FT Liverpool 1-2 Manchester United 44,263 Premier League
Sep 29 FT Manchester United 2-3 Tottenham Hotspur 75,566 Premier League
Oct 7 FT Newcastle United 0-3 Manchester United 52,203 Premier League
Oct 20 FT Manchester United 4-2 Stoke City 75,585 Premier League
Oct 28 FT Chelsea 2-3 Manchester United 41,644 Premier League
Nov 3 FT Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal 75,492 Premier League
Nov 10 FT Aston Villa 2-3 Manchester United 40,538 Premier League
Nov 17 FT Norwich City 1-0 Manchester United 26,840 Premier League
Nov 24 FT Manchester United 3-1 Queens Park Rangers 75,603 Premier League
Nov 28 FT Manchester United 1-0 West Ham United 75,572 Premier League
Dec 1 FT Reading 3-4 Manchester United 24,095 Premier League
Dec 9 FT Manchester City 2-3 Manchester United 47,166 Premier League
Dec 15 FT Manchester United 3-1 Sunderland 75,582 Premier League
Dec 23 FT Swansea City 1-1 Manchester United 20,650 Premier League
Dec 26 FT Manchester United 4-3 Newcastle United 75,596 Premier League
Dec 29 FT Manchester United 2-0 West Bromwich Albion 75,595 Premier League
Jan 1 FT Wigan Athletic 0-4 Manchester United 20,342 Premier League
    Jan 13 45' Manchester United 1-0 Liverpool

These scores show otherwise, that United have been very consistently good in attack. Unlike Arsenal, who's 4th highest goal count is only down to scoring 14 goals in the space of 3 games.

Pool need to remove Joe Allen if they want to get back into this game. He brings nothing to the party.

Ok? So scoring goals is bad now? Yes more consistency is needed, but you cant just dismiss goals because we got them against a certain team. I don't care if we score 30 goals in 3 games as long as we score and win it good.
It's really nonsensical to try and make out a large amount of goals in a few games a bad thing.

I'm not saying it's bad, but it's nonsense, and everyone knows it is, including you, to prop our total amount of goals when you full well know that a large part of it has been down to a few games where we just scored so many goals. As they say, it doesn't tell the whole picture. We have had so many games, which do tell the story, of us consistently looking sharpless up front.

Btw, the biggest proof that your argument DOESN'T MATTER is our league position, ;-), 21 points behind the leaders, that alone shows our attack isn't what you're trying to make it be, if it was, then why are we so far behind and just struggling to get that 4th spot??????
