I agree with calling a spade a spade, but the fact that people are over-reacting after a disappointing performance. There is no need to act like kids and pretend its the end of the world and the whole team should be sacked and manager replaced?!
Only Bullshit man is saying anything like that and he'll retract it in the morning like he always does after these results There's no need to get too worried about what people are saying, he's just pissed off like we all are that we lost in such a **** manner today.
Two seasons ago vs Boro, we chucked it away by losing 2-4 when Andy Dawson had a nightmare, today the positive is we have a lot more games to go and we're 2nd, when back then we were outside the play offs.
I don't think we are a top 2 side. If we get a striker, and a goalie maybe we would be a top 2 side. I will be perfectly happy if we are in the top 6 at the end of the season. Today is disappointing not because we lost but because it appeared that we did not show collective heart. Those types of loses always irk people and they should. I am sure that Bruce will sort it out by punishing them in training. After the punishment will come the nurturing and then we will be back on our game. You see the quality of a coach not by your wins but by how quickly he gets your team back into the swing of things after games like we had today.
Few points We had been unbeaten in 9 We don't know who we might be talking to in terms of bringing in players, we may be announcing the holy grail of a striker and keeper this week Sacking any manager, without there being a better one to appoint, is shooting any chance of finishing in the top 2 in the foot Correct me if I'm wrong - but aren't there only 2 managers in the top 6 (Bruce and Holloway) who have experience of taking a side up to the PL
I know, but its just frustrating and embarrassing that our ans are portrayed as people such as him, everyone just needs to relax!
You made a good point Lewis, people are acting like kids to this one game result. Unfortunately that is the problems with forums, half of us get annoyed with post's that are actually from kids, we just don't know it.
I agree completely, people say we need a striker, but who? People mention Chris Wood, he would never have come even if we did match his wages due to the location of Leicester to his home. We need a striker but there are very few around who would make a difference, and those that would, would cost us above five million which is a ridiculous fee and one we can't afford to spend. I think the keeper will be easier as there are a lot of quality number two's out there who can come in and do a job. Without a striker though i do worry, but you can't blame Bruce, there's just so few out there.
John Guidetti is available and there's interest if he wants to come. But he won't, so it's academic (think he's holding out on a move to Europe). FC already been mentioned as has Becchio. Gary Madine wouldn't be a bad shout and he wouldn't have to travel far. Other than that, if you wanted proven Championship strikers, then you'd have to get the wallet out. Bradley Wright Phillips at Charlton, Connor Sammon at Derby, even Blackstock at Forest would all be good choices. After that you are looking at PL loans and there isn't much available unfortunately.
Leeds won't let Becchio go in January. I can only see a "til the end of the season" loan as a possibility. Sunderland have picked up and Campbell is on the bench for them. If I were MON I'd be more likely to offer Louis Saha, he's older than FC and if he wants to play then he may need to move down a division, if he's interested and if City could negotiate paying some of his wages.
