I bumped in Luke in service station on way back and wasn't on crunches and said he got a stud in knee and all being well will be playing Wednesday.
Phew, sounds like Shaw isn't going to be out for long. Wouldn't play him on Wednesday though, even if he is fit enough. No point in risking him in a game we're very unlikely to get anything out of.
Apparently Guly has the norovirus, might be a couple of days/weeks before he is strong enough to play again.
Hopefully Shaw will be fit for Wednesday. Don't agree with writing this one off. The fans hate benitez and they are not ppaying well at home. Keep it nil nil for 30 minutes and the crowd will go against them. We can get a point from this and who knows maybe snatch all three.
Anything better than a 2-0 loss will do for me. Think it will be closer than people anticipate. We weren't on top form in the cup, we can go there and give them a good game.
Not impressed with the second commentator on Football First, when a Villa defender scraped his studs down Ramirez leg off the pitch, he said it's the Southampton players fault for leaving his leg there!
Well done Mark Halsey for spotting a potential serious injury to Shaw, and no marks for poor sportsmanship by some of the Villa players.
We could throw him over the fence of their training ground like they used to do with plague victims during sieges.
Anyone know how to build one of those big catapults. This plan has legs (which is more than poor Guly will have after he's been launched).
I hesitate to suggest it, but we don't need to actually use Guly, just some of what he has "got rid of". Any volunteers?
Disagree complete with this apparent writing off of the Chelsea game. One of the things keeping us on 15th atm is our GD, why concede defeat to a team that has shown multiple times this season that they can score for fun? Before we know it our GD will be wiped and I'd hate to see us relegated in such a cruel manner.
