We had a poor performance and result tonight and our lack of a proven goal scorer and our keeper worries have been shown up tonight. But, this is the Championship and results like tonight do happen. Prior to tonight's game, we'd gone 8 games unbeaten and in our last home game we played Leeds off the park in our best performance of the season. We're second in the league, have what many of us deem as a very good manager at this level and have a squad of players who for the last few games we have been singing the praises of. People are rightly disappointed but we were bound to get set backs this season, we've shown already we can overcome such set backs and there is no reason why we won't pick ourselves up and do the same. We do need to add to our squad (a striker and another goalie or 2) but we need to keep the faith. We've got ourselves in a great position, we need to believe we are good enough to stay there and before tonight we showed that we were.
Yep keep the faith, you might get lucky and pinch 6th spot. Punching above you're weight by the look of it!!
were still second so we can't be that bad a team. Of course all the moaning c**nts have come out of the woodwork. I think most of these morons aren't happy unless we are doing really badly.
Agreed. We're taking some banter as you'd expect after a shocker like that and the replies and overreactions on here are embarrassing.
You have to look positive. Before the season, each of the Hull City fans would have taken 2nd place in the dark after 27 games. For many football fans our position is a big surprise. You can not grieve. We need to look forward and believe in the team and Steve Bruce, who is doing a great job. COYH!
Sorry you didn't see a better game Artur I don't think we really turned up today, and usually Hull City has a better goalie to watch!
Today was a lot of bad events. There were a lot of mistakes, poor performance Jakupovic, missed penalty, etc. This is football
More positives: Their first goal was the first we had conceded in the league at the KC in 7 hours and 14 minutes (according to Sky). We are still second. Boro and Palace also lost. Cardiff drew. We don't play Leicester anymore since they suddenly hit form. We can get revenge on P'boro on Saturday.
Think we all agree tonights performance or lack of it was a bit of an unexpected setback , but credit must be given to Wednesday who were superior all over the park a far cry from the poor team we managed to beat at Hillsborough . Personally im sure Steve Bruce knows the players we need to bring in to improve the squad and im sure he will do so should they become available. I suggest everyone puts this result to bed and gets behind the team starting at Orient on Tuesday and Peterborough next Saturday.
We dominated possession but failed in the most important area of the pitch. They came with a game plan today of defending & it worked, they then caught is on the break. The important thing to realise about today was that it was the end product that wasn't there, the build up was fine.
Agree with everything you say, and i have to admit Bruce was so honest it made you think fair play he knows exactly what we need to do. Compared to where we was last year we have really developed from last years side.
we've had these games intermittently throughout the season where we just haven't turned up. i saw the line-up when the game started and wondered who was playing up front. we still need a goal scorer. when it got to three i wondered where the defence had got to. don't panic, mr mainwaring.
The players might realise tey've won nowt, achieved nothing and need to work a damn sight harder and compete like men. And yes the transfer windows open and we have loan spaces...
