Another reason to wonder about the lack of sense at Anfield - they knew they had a game with MUPLC coming up, so did they really want to hand Bacon Face any ammunition? Now that he's said it from his ivory tower at Old Trafford, Suarez can be accused of anything and the press will nod their heads like the trained dogs they are.
I'm not sure how much football you watch. I imagine your mis-placed ire is directed at the idea of Suarez playing for Barca. But - Sanchez is not playing particularly well. Villa is on his way out either now or in the summer, amid rumours of unhappiness etc. He's ageing, however good he is. Tello and Cuenca are still young. Deulofeu is younger still. Iniesta is surely better in midfield. Suarez could easily slot in alongside Pedro and Messi, or any combination of the above. He'd be cheaper and less trouble (I warrant) than Neymar.
@ Reverend... Superb entertainment! You really do know how to make us laugh, son! Good thing you're joking, because if you meant what you were saying, that would be absurd. What's you're name again? Oh, wait.... !
there are several definitions to absurd! You may choose that one if you want! However, if all you do is make a joke, it suggests you can't offer an actual counter argument. I can imagine Neymar having huge trouble reconciling his virtuoso style with Barca's philosophy... and the clash of his ego with the focus on Messi.
Suarez would be very popular in Spain as his philosohphy would be right in tune with the supporters . Seriously he's a very good player but i don't think he's about to walk into the Barcelona or Real first eleven.
Evening Spuds. Not been here for a while, so I thought I'd congratulate you on your magnificent point at QPR today. Well done! I won't mention how many other sides have romped home there this year. The trophy for finishing fourth already has your name engraved on it. Bravo!
What happened at Stoke where Chelsea won 4-0 and Liverpool lost 3-1, Chelsea beat Villa 8-0 at home and Liverpool get beaten 3-1 Liverpool smash QPR 3-0 Tottenham draw wth QPR and Chelsea lost at home to QPR, yeah you take a small bit of comfort that you managed to beat QPR 3-0 but it is a funny old league isn't it but Liverpool haven't beaten anyone in the Top 10 this season. I think this is the worst quality of Premier League for about 4-5 years and it says a lot when Liverpool are hanging around 7th-8th larging it up at teams above them, really how much have they fallen.
I never said he'd 'walk straight in' but he'd certainly be heavily involved. He's a fantastic and indeed flexible player. He'd be brilliant for such clubs.
HIAG Did you see this? http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/statement-from-liverpool-fc-2 So Lafferpool are not only paying Cole to play at West Ham and Sahin to play in Germany but they're also paying out to Hicks & Gillette for shafting them. Can't wait to see their accounts to see how much they got. In October 2010, Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Limited ("Liverpool FC") was sold to the Fenway Sports Group. As a consequence of that sale, Thomas Hicks and George Gillett (being the former owners of Liverpool FC) made a number of allegations and claims against Sir Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow and Ian Ayre (being the company directors responsible for the sale of Liverpool FC to the Fenway Sports Group). Those allegations and claims were denied by Messrs Broughton, Purslow and Ayre. The allegations, claims and denials resulted in legal proceedings being commenced. The parties have now agreed a settlement (the terms of which are confidential). All claims and allegations made against Messrs Broughton, Purslow and Ayre have been withdrawn by Messrs Hicks and Gillett and all legal proceedings between the parties concluded. The parties will not be making any further statement to the press.
Something stinks to High Heaven, that's for sure. What have they got to hide? Another black day for English football. The Mousers must be despairing. I almost feel some pity for them.
Sounds like it's just legal fees We definitely shouldn't have accepted any offers and collapsed entirely, how silly of us. Anyway, game of two halves yesterday! One of the more lacklustre derbies. One of the biggest disappointments yet again the United fans, particularly the small pocket singing 'murderers'.
Sturridge does his normal ie scores one and misses a sitter. The shape of things to come I'm happy to say.
I was just thinking that - you can hardly criticise a start like that! If he scores on his home debut now he really will have people believing in him. Liverpool had to buy a striker in the window and he was definitely one of the ebtter ones on offer.
Not much good if you lose though ay Sir Red? He could have made the difference between a draw and a defeat.
