I'll be around more than I have been recently, but not as much as I was back in the day Hope you're well Saint...
Games he goes missing in???? Can't think of any of those off the top of my head - he's usually the most influential player in EVERY game
Maybe goes missing is the wrong word. I was thinking more of games that he misfires in, like Villa and Stoke, where it just doesn't click for him and he gets frustrated. Tho' that may be more a function of Liverpool relying on him so heavily - he's probably still your most influential player in those games where he's not playing well, but without him on form you don't really stand a chance of winning. If he was at a club that didn't rely on him so much, he wouldn't feel the same pressure to win every game for the team.
Well they seem quite happy to play with a snide little snitch eh I'm pretty sure if they can cope with a turd like Evra they could cope with a delightful chap like Luis.
You'd have Rooney ahead of Suarez in that central role? Rooney is nowhere near Suarez and on top of that Suarez is a professional that is always in 100% condition while Rooney seems to only be in good condition for 6 months of every year. He's more worried about getting some sun tan in dubai for the other 6 months of the year.
In a heartbeat. Rooney has the tactical discipline, awareness and defensive abilities needed to play in that role. He rarely offers the spectacular, but is at the heart of most of what Utd create, either going into the box himself or sliding it out to the wingers. He hasn't been in good form this year, but his tangible contribution has been as good as an in form Suarez and almost as good as RVP's. And that pattern repeats itself - every time Rooney has a poor patch of form goal wise, he recognises it and looks to create for the team instead. Suarez is much like Gerrard in that regard - best off in a role where he doesn't have any responsibilities to the team so he is free to use his skills and wreak havoc without needing to worry about other players. I wouldn't put Suarez in that withdrawn central role cos every time he got the ball he'd be thinking of himself rather than looking to do what's best for the team. Imo not putting Suarez in the centre would be as much about not limiting Suarez as it would be about getting the best out of Rooney.
amazed you'd play suarez on the same side as evra. obviously you'd drop evra yeah? like we all would when someon lies and cheats like he does here fishie fishie
this was the bit I was going to point out. We can't finish for **** so it's hardly fair to count assists Chances created is a much better angle to compare players
Class player but I don't think anyone other than us Liverpool fans would claim he is better than van Persie. Without my rose tinted glasses on I'd say Suarez is the third best player in the league right now after van persie and bale. I think playing off another striker might help him improve even more though. If sturridge can take defenders away with his runs Suarez is going to cut teams to shreds.
If Suarez was infront of that chav trio he would be far ahead of anyone in the goal scoring stakes. He is definitely the most exciting play to watch atm, rvp is the most clinical, but I would say Michu is up there. Considering he only plays for Swansea.
Agree on RvP being a clinical, one of the best finishers around in world football. But.. to steal a line from UIR, what has he done with Holland
I'm sure as consummate professionals they would both be able to put their differences aside, shake hands and move on. Well, one of them would anyway... She mus be another one who said no Robin, she said no...
