Haha. It seems that way! Completely agree with you Archers Road! Thank god we held on. Now I go out and drink merrily instead of sitting in moping! Great result and spirit shown by our boys
That is exactly it! Was walking home from work listening to it on the radio, it was only at the final whistle that I realised I'd been stood stock still in the middle of the pavement getting in everyone's way for 5 minutes, I'd probably have collapsed on the pavement if we had conceded!
Great 3 points. Boruc MoM as he performed consistently awesome for 95 mins. Only gripe is we try to walk the ball home. Punch was on the 6 yard line and still dordled on shooting.A pro should be able to shoot with either boot from 6 yards. 3 points though helps hide these types of problems.
I have two things to say. Firstly, well done to lamballana for the thread, please start the Chelsea one as soon as you like! Secondly, has anyone noticed we are now only 5 points behind West Ham. I demand that Trixter comes on here now!
I think I'm right in saying that that's the first time all season that we find ourselves averaging at least one point per game? That's a big plus for me. (I think beating Reading put us one point off that target, giving us the opportunity to exceed it vs Sunderland, but my head is telling me that's the closest we've been before today). Granted though, one assumes it's only going to be the case for four more days!
Hot on their heels! Not like their next five includes QPR, Fulham, Swansea and Villa whilst ours includes Chelsea, Everton, United and City - We'll catch them in no time!
Goals change games. We were desperate to hold onto a 1 nil lead and Villa were chasing it...this could have affected how the second half panned out. This was a game we had to win with some tough games coming up...points are everything. We have stopped leaking goals even if we do it a bit last ditch. Our position in the league is excellent when you consider our start.
Better than knee or ankle, though can still take time to settle down. In the past they'd have shoved it back in themselves and got on with the game...soft youngsters these days
Great result although I can't comment on the performance as I didn't see it but today wasn't about that anyway. The other results could have neen kinder but 15th means that even if we make no headway against those ahead of us, three teams now have to get better results than us to get us back in the mire.
