... for our Sir Chris as the manager of our beloved club. So how do we think he is doing? What does the future have in store? What are the highlights and lowlights of his tenure so far? Did we all think he'd be here this long? Will he be here for another two years?
Only problem is need to learn when to use substitutes, otherwise i can see Chrissy being here a long long time
Love the man. I think he's a good manager who will become a brilliant manager. He is still learning, but to do what he has done is pretty remarkable. Bought an entire new squad, 101 points, league title and now holding our own in the championship without spending money.
I love him the fans love him the players loving even opposing fans love him bare Sheffield weds but they are a weird load of imbreds
So how do we think he is doing? What does the future have in store? Very well so far. If someone asked when he took over, where I would hope for us to be in 2 years, I'd say mid-table Championship. I'd never have imagined our dream season last year, or the quality of some of his signings. In terms of the future, as long as Powell sorts out some of his tactical/substitution decisions, he will develop into a very fine manager. What are the highlights and lowlights of his tenure so far? The main highlight would be the whole of last season. Such a rollercoaster ride, though with so many highs and not many lows. Carlisle away will live long in my memory. Lowest point would be the horrible mid-table away days in his first 6 months, where there was even a slight fear of relegation to League Two. Away to Wallsall that season stands out as memorable dull and depressing - the highlight of the game was seeing a fellow Charlton fan get conked-out by a wayward BWP training shot at half time. Did we all think he'd be here this long? Will he be here for another two years? Always had faith that he'd be here for a while. I can see him still being here in two years.
Just read that The Doctor is the 6th longest serving manager in the Championship. 9 Championship clubs have already changed their managers this season. These sugar daddies are a trigger-happy lot, thank goodness our board stuck with Doc during his difficult times, just as Manure did with Sir Alex.
