I had written a post name checking some great performances from the likes of Vaughan, Colback, Titus and McClean. But actually, every single one of them has put in a performance today
In fairness west ham haven been great as usual, but im not taking anything away from the rest of the team, they've all done really well so far. Colback unlucky not to get a goal and Fletcher had one ruled out for offside. Really good show for N'Daiye, showing what the SOL is like when your winning and 40,000 show up. just had a great save by Mignolet too!
Yeah, they've been misplacing some passes and making some bad decisions. But a few weeks ago Colback wasn't even passing forwards, now he's breaking into the box and coming close to scoring. McClean is looking up and passing the ball inside and square. Midfield looks hungry - we closing down, winning balls and pushing on. Definitely been a change in attitude and positivity today.
what a difference a bit of confidence makes.... both for the team and the crowd. Pretty bad start to the season, but were still picking up points by at least drawing games. Now we are picking up and if we can get some momentum going for the 2nd half of the season we can look forward to a top ten finish. always better to start badly and finish better than the other way around imo.... Vaughan impressed for me, and made a good case for a starting spot. Colback was also impressive today. All the players got stuck in and nobody played badly.
Everyone was fantastic. Standout performers for me were Bramble, Vaughan and Sess, should have been more, but I'll settle for 3
