It'll be good for you beefy I've got you in the cup and spurs are my double score team with Defoe as scorer and qpr as your team!
Love him or Loathe him ( I am firmly in the latter camp ) HR is VERY good at motivating players IF he likes them .
Big win for Sunderland today (and not just because it was by a three goal margin!). They're six points clear of the bottom three. It's still slightly too early to rule them, Fulham, West Ham and Norwich out of the relegation race, but all they need to do is pick up a couple of win over their next four or five games and that's them all safe. It's starting, just starting, to look like a six horse battle. QPR's bubble will have burst a little, after a very decent lunchtime point.
I think there's still enough time for things to change around a bit. Usually one team that appears safe gets complacent and drops into the mire. Maybe it'll be West Ham? I still think QPR are too far off the pace and Reading don't quite have the quality, despite good results for them today. Villa need to pick up some points soon or they'll be competing for bottom spot with those two.
Frustratingly, in my opinion we have the hardest game next weekend of us bottom six. Even when you throw in those other four sides, it'll only be Fulham (away to City) and Norwich (away to Liverpool) who'll have harder games. So there's every chance that we'll be right back in deep trouble shortly, but hey for now we're 15th and that's pretty reading.
Code: Just watching the Reading game on Football First, they are currently 2-0 down. Even if Elvis came down in a spaceship right now and declared Reading were going to win I wouldn't believe him. In fact, even though I know it's going to happen, I don't believe it.
What a fantastic call by Sian Massey for the offside/penalty incident. She is one of the better assistant referee's IMO.
