Anybody like there designer labels? and If so which ones. Noticed Hulls dire for getting hold of some labels, the shopping here isnt great at all. I like my clobber just wondered if anybody else did and what they prefer. If a Shop opened in Hull selling football fashion labels what would you like to see in there?
im talking along the lines of Lacoste, Aquasuctum etc not facking mitre dunlop and kappa saying that this is hull and the dress sense does leave alot to be desired
Plenty of non shirter City fans dress appropriately for the match, check out the scruffs from south Yorkshire today mate.
Depends where you're looking - there are probably about 5 or 6 menswear shops in Hull that sell Lacoste. Quite certain Aquasuctum is sold in Van Mildert in Princes Quay.
Yeah I bought most of mine online. Generally into Fjall Raven, One True Saxon, Fila vintage, Lacoste, Aqua, 80's Casuals, Stone Island, Paul and Shark, Adidas Trainers, Barbour, Penfield and M&S.
When you shop around other places you get to see how limited the options are in Hull. I live about 7-8 miles from Birmingham city centre and the options are phenomenal- places like the Bullring are a different world away- the choices are outstanding. I always find House of Fraser a good place to shop selling Superdry, Tommy Hilfiger, Fred Perry, Henley, Bench, Ben Sherman, D&G, Duck and Cover, Ted Baker, Firetrap, French Connection, G-Star, Lacoste, Howick, TM Lewin, Jack and Jones, Levi's, Lyle and Scott, Loake, Oroginal Penguin & Paul and Shark. However, I must say the Superdry shop in St. Stephens is much better than the one in Birmingham. A good way of expanding your options would be (and I know it's a lot of pissing about), order and pay from the House of Fraser website which will have tonnes more to choose from than the normal shops, get your items delivered to the Hull shop, try it on (as you would normally), if it fits, keep it, it not, get a refund there and then.
Kappa was a label to be reckoned with back in the day (1984). These labels have been around 30 years now- the equivalent for the 1980s would have been dressing in gear from the early 50s.
Anyway, I'd like to see old school Farah's, Ellesse, Sergio Tacchini and quality old school Adidas (bring back Trimm Trabb!).
I had a BMX Falcon Pro Kappa. It was bright blue and yellow. Cost me £66 from a shop on the other side of the river. Loved that bike.
The Mrs bought me a Moncler " thomas" jacket for Xmas, and if you see another one at City tonight, i will personaly buy every 606er on here a pint ! (serious). goes nicely with my D Squared jeans and Rick Owens boots. Nice.
They did bring back Trimm Trabb trainers ( as they have done with most of the "Old School" trainers), but the materials they choose are far inferior than the original. shame really.
I had a kappa trackie myself haha!!! i like Fred Perry Vintage, Farrah, Lacoste. Annoying when you have to buy most of it online, noticed alot of the time if you ever do get stuff in Hull it tends to be last seasons stock. il have to go look in Van Mildert was saying to the missus other day probably been 2 years since ive been in Proncess quay, probably why i havnt stumbled across it.
Bolo, Brookes, Prem and Bronx 4 local independent shops that sell most of the labels that have been mentioned on this thread, before adding chains from the likes of House of Fraser, Van Mildert, Size?, Republic and Scotts to that list.... bloody hell, you can get Fred Perry at JD Sports and Firetrap from Sports Direct now, it's not like they're not around in this area, you just have to know where to look. Sounds like most peoples shopping habits are... have a look in House of Fraser, if they don't have anything, nowhere else will.
