I'm nearing a return to that particular activity, having been unable to enjoy it for about 4 years due to knee problems. I received an appointment to see an orthopaedic surgeon yesterday for two weeks time, with a view to replacement surgery. A bit daunting really - the NHS's '18 week from referral' rule means that sometime within the next 10 weeks I could be under the knife getting both knees replaced. <yikes>

Morning all from a very wintry sounding Gloucester, blowing a hooley outside:( Still as long as the trains are running today I'll be happy as I am off to Paris today on the railways for a change as Sleasy-Jet had no flights from Bristol<yikes>

    Here's to a win today<cheers>

Morning All, not too bad outside today, dry and some blue sky now although it looked as if it might rain when I first went out.

My fitness programme is slowly coming together. Walking a couple of miles a day, weather permitting, although I did 2 miles on Thursday just going round the huge DIY places out here. Still another month to go before I am allowed to lift anything too heavy, including a spade full of wet earth. Ladders still not permitted, but steps I can manage alright. Muscles in the injured leg are getting more similar in size to the uninjured one, but seeing how not using one limb has this effect I wonder should I lift a glass of wine with my left arm more to prevent imbalance?

I have a feeling one minute that we might do well today, followed by a thought that we could have a bad day. Not confident, so it might be a draw.

Morning all - very good food last night. I have 3 Indians in my onshore team who come from different parts of India and it was great listening to them arguing about who had the best food! Spicy fish was just sublime and I had a brilliant spinach dhal to go with it...and as I paid the bill I got to take away the unfinished dishes so breakfast this morning is great as well. No better advert for a restaurant is having it packed with locals - there was a huge table full up with an Indian family!

    H details are:
    Annaluxmie Restaurant
    436 Alexandra Avenue, HA2 9TW
But stay clear of the pub a few doors up....

A bit apprehensive about this afternoon, we need to stay on track and this is going to be a pivotal game. COYH

BB - hope all goes well with the knees..
