Lets face its not even close, he has soooooooooooooooooo much quality its untrue, creates and scores goals out of nothing.Week after week after week No wonder he winds the opposition up so much. There's two types of football fan. People who would LOVE Suarez in their team - and liars. Might get 1 or 2 replies with this 1
I wouldn't swap him with anyone in the PL. Yeah RVP may be more clinical, but he doesn't have anything near what Suarez has in every other area.. Rooney etc etc. don't come close... As much as people hate him, like you say, they would have him in their team in a heart beat - any opposing fan that claims they wouldn't needs a check up from the neck up.
I love him but he isn't the best yet. If we beat the scum tomorrow obviously he'll be better than Pele He needs to be more consistent to be classed as great. His conversion rate still isn't good enough and he still makes way too many wrong decisions where passing the ball's involved. Having said that there are only 4 attacking players who even come close. The traiterous scumbag dutchman, Agueroooooooo (give him one chance in a game and you'd put your house on him), Silva and Mata who are both able to control games and pull strings against anyone in the world. Rooney isn't fit to lace Suarez boots or even wipe his arse Would I swap Suarez for anyone else in the league? No way. Will we be able to keep hold of him for much longer? I fear not on our current form. Suarez deserves to pit himself against Europes finest and when will we be able to offer him that?
When I saw you'd posted I was just coming on to say "here fishy fishy" Top marks for avoiding the hook
Other then this season, he had only scored 11 goals in the league during the season, so how can you even think to say he is the best in the league. How many players scored more goals then him last season? And as a striker his job is to put the ball in the back of the net and nothing else. By the way I'm not a Manc fan either.
How many players played more games than him? And take penalties? He is second best scorer this season and that is FAR more important than anything that happened last season.
40 goals in 80 appearances for Liverpool, not to shabby? That's not including what he creates, add that to the fact everything positive we do going forward somewhere Luis Suarez is involved. Maybe not the best player in the league, but definitely the most exciting player to watch.. His work rate and enthusiasm for the game matched with his undoubted quality, and his unpredictability. When he picks up the ball (no pun intended) you genuinely don't know what he's going to do.
RVP has more goals, more assists, a better chance conversion rate, and a better goals per minutes played rate. He also was ahead of Suarez on all of the above last season with Arsenal. Suarez is good but he is not the best player in the league
Ah, you've gone and ruined the fishing trip with a bit of realism! DDDDDD will be very disappointed...that was his only bait this year...
Just a thought guys, if this Suarez played in KD side last season, do you think the owners would have sacked him or would you have finished in the top four? His improvement in front of goal this season has been incredible.
Imagine: Player A scores 20 goals and creates 5 for others. Player B scores 15 goals and creates 15 for others. By your standards, player A is the best player? I'm not claiming Suarez is the best, btw- that is and always will be, a matter of opinion- I'm just questioning your criteria.
Interesting point there. So let's take three players: Player A (let's call him Luis) plays 20 games, scores 15 goals and gets 3 assists. Player B (maybe we should call him Wayne) plays 14 games, scores 7 goals and gets 7 assists. Player C (oh, let's say Robin) plays 21 games, scores 16 goals and gets 6 assists. In that, purely hypothetical, situation, it would seem player A has contributed less to his team on a per game basis than B and C. Imagine that, eh?
Nice try. Notice I used the word "creates" rather than "assists". Recording assists only gives a partial view of a player's overall contribution. Plus, I reiterate, I wasn't making a case for Suarez getting the accolade- merely pointing out the flaw in the argument.
Swarbs clearly would love Suarez at Utd. He finds it hard to cover it up, although I admire him for trying.....
I probably would to be honest as he's improved a great deal this season. Plus, at Utd we already have RVP and Rooney playing through the centre, so Suarez could go back to the wide attacking role he was so prolific in at Ajax. We wouldn't be so reliant on him to score and create everything for us, so we'd be able to benefit from his skill whilst not suffering in the games he goes missing in. ---------RVP Suarez-Rooney-Valencia Eeees nice Disclaimer: This would of course be reliant on all our other players being willing to play with the dirty little racist cannibal....
