Going on about the excellent Paralympics and says ten million of the UK population class themselves as disabled, guarantee at least fifty percent of those are the ****ing benefit cheats, oh I've got a bad toe can't work, ****ing ******s,
Blimey - that's a controversial start to the day. Just finished your bacon sarnie and copy of the Daily Mail perchance?
Agreed, at least 5/6m will be the people caught shagging on a trampoline whilst doing backflips. Thats not true, but its the equivalent of what happens if anyone thinks its a strange description.
So you are even accepting 5 million (50%) as disabled ??? i'd go even further, im pretty sure if i was in a position to be labeled disabled like a lot of scroungers i'd rather be labeled as "trying me ****ing best" I think the vast majority claiming are well capable of removing themselves from the burden of the state , especially as there are a lot of people with REAL disabilities doing as best they can
Hmmm, if we're being serious I think it's sometimes that we view disability in a certain way and sometimes those classed as disabled might not immediately seem it. My girlfriends mother for example, cant walk without a stick and even then its a massive struggle with literally 1 step a minute and cant use her hands because of extreme arthritis. Everything else is fine. She has a blue badge for the family car (she doesn't drive for the reasons stated) because of the fact she cant walk far so needs to disembark the car close to where she needs to go. She's registered disabled but she might not appear disabled to the casual observer. There must be a hell of a lot like her who might not immediately appear what we class as disabled.
are you spying on me cause that's exactly what I've just done?!? daily mail isn't my choice I'd hasten to add, mrsfattiger likes it. there's a difference between being disabled and claiming a disability benefit. a large percentage of those claiming ESA do so for mental health reasons or substance addiction for example. mental health is a fuzzy grey area and although some have genuine clinical issues a lot of the time its used as a cover for being a good for nothing scrounger who's only actual medical condition is a condition is lazyitis!!!! the Work Capability Assessment is weighted heavily towards getting people off ESA and is mighty successful. I know a bloke in a wheelchair with a muscle condition that causes him pain and constant twitching and ticks, he also has arthritis in his hands and genuine clinical anxiety and depression, he scored 0/15 and was told he was fit for work and put on JSA.
Don't you think the BBC are actually putting too much pressure on disabled people by their over hyping of the paralympics though, having 3 out of 10 up for the spoty and calling for more honours and building on the legacy etc then running a story saying disabled sports club are showing no increase in membership. Have they not thought that many disabled people are actually too ill and disabled to go out and play sport and don't need the extra pressure and expectation on them to compete when they have enough struggle in their daily lives already!?
Mighty successful? In whose eyes?[/QUOTE] successful as far as the DWP are concerned for their bottom line. I think it's a disgrace. even Chris Grayling said he felt it was flawed as it was too harsh and moving people onto JSA and the work programme who weren't anything like 'job ready'. It's costing a fortune in appeals anyway.

Official figures state that 3% of the welfare budget went to unemployed people, that 0.7% is the figure for fraudulent claims and even the Department for Works and Pensions states that it is 0.3%. We all want to see the end of fraudulent claims but the trouble is the innocent are targetted as well. Rather than listening to the BBC and reading the Daily Mail, the Telegraph or the Sun, might I suggest you either read The Guardian or The Independent and watch Channel 4 news. All these sites can be followed on-line, so you don't need to spend any money. Happy reading!!!!! Here's a link to a Guardian article : http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/jan/08/welfare-problem-real-scroungers-greedy
My mum has had 5 or 6 bouts of serious depression over the last 10 or 11 years, the longest was 13 months and least was three and half months. Her doctor told her basically sack off work and go on disabillity benefits, but she loves her job and working in a reenablement hospice for people who have just come out of hospital. She's hoping to go into mental health.
****ing hell! More of the lazy bastards! 800 quitting work at Honda! 1370 lazy bastards leaving Jessops! I ask you!
