Le Fondre, Omar Daley, Mcgliesh, Scott Davies or Donnelly would be nice. Jermaine Easter anyone??? Or if GW is looking for another midfielder and is feeling like letting bygones be bygones, could we see a return of the Doc?
Morgan being released by Aldershot could see him replacing JPP. We would all love Le Fondre but I can't see the budget stretching that far.
wasnt it morgan on twitter that gave abuse to his own fans,do we really want that type of player at our club?
Montrose was one of my favourite players of this current team, so sad he's gone! On a more positive note its good to see Beavon offered a contract ahead of Pittman, he works so hard and sets up a load of goals even if he doesn't score them. No surprises about the other names who left and stayed, I was a bit surprised Stuart Green was still at the club.
in my opinion we should have kept green.............................................................................now whos gonna clean the toilets
It was indeed Morgan who had the Twitter outburst. Maybe Waddock is the manager to control him and keep him happy.
just had a look at marvin morgan and his goalscoring record is shocking. Do we really need another "unselfish striker" in our team. Also he's big so all we'd do is hoof it up to him if he joined, which is not the way we're trying to play football. I'm thinking one to stay well clear from this one.
i thought montrose had a good first half of the season and was unlucky to be dropped but you cant argue with lewis taking his place in the team he has been superb
Agreed. Morgan hasn't really done a lot in the past 2 seasons in league one or league 2 and isn't an out and out goalscorer. I would stay well clear too.
Do we go for experienced strikers now or do we take a punt on a rookie? Donaldson, Le Fondre, McGleish, Tubbs, Reid or even MacDonald would be worth a look. Although I expect Tubbs to be on stupid money at Crawley.
waddock seems to like younger players so mcgleish would be out of the question.i think next season could see the emergence of mcclure ,not as first choice but waddock rates him and he will clearly be on the bench for next season
ill be bloody glad if leon stays, its no coincedence that since leon got back in the side we have looked more solid at the back
I don't think we should sign Morgan, he's unproven in League 1 and didn't really set League 2 alight this season, okay he was great in the conference but we should be aiming higher than that now. JPP is a shame cos I feel for the lad but again, he hasn't really proved himself at League 2 - has bags of pace but hasn't set the team alight on the chances he's had, so he's not good enough for League 1 unfortunately. Glad Blooms has stayed, he gives it his all for us and can be great. Shock about Montrose but not really a shock about the rest. Gaz Ainsworth will in my opinion play for the next 20 years at this rate. We need a quality forward to partner Rendell now, and yep a decent left back. I really hope Donnelly signs on a permanent as he's a great player and can cut it in League 1 big time. If Wadds is interested, I am a cracking defender and being left footed I am the answer to all of English football's prayers. I will be willing to pull the quartered shirt on if the cash is right
And I'm a cracking striker. Put me on in the last 10mins of extra time when everyone is shattered. SORTED.
Before anyone else says it..........yea I've been cracking for a long time. I could go to pieces under pressure.
