Yep!!! Always been a fan of Fox, but don't expect him to even be on the bench tomorrow. Hopefully, he'll get in the team for Luton at the end of the month.

as you all know, i am one of david fox's biggest fans. there was a time when i'd have built the entire first team around him. when he plays well, norwich play well. he dictates the play, controls the game, has vision, technique, accuracy... he's a great little player, much like leon britton for swansea (though fox is the better player in my opinion with more strings to his bow). however, in the games he's played this season, which admittedly have been few and far between, he has been poor. he did well on saturday against arguably the worst side i've seen norwich face since our league one days, but as others have said, who would be dropped?

on current form it would have to be tettey. johnson is playing far too well to be dropped and i think we saw his unavailability at west ham the other day cost us in the middle of the park. he might not be everyones cup of tea but boy does he get around that pitch! without him, we are a more feeble team and i'd put him in the top three for player of the season so far. tettey is a good player and i would continue to play him ahead of fox in most games but i think certain home games, perhaps not the newcastle game as they are very direct but maybe reading and a few others, fox could be a key player. the issue, as always is earning a place in the side, and i don't think fox has done that this season. elliott bennett and simeon jackson have both been patient but when given a chance have impressed - that's why they both deserve a shot before he does (a fact lost on carrabuh as usual).

I'm glad Johnson does have his supporters on here. He got one or two bad reviews last season and a lot of fans jumped on his not being the best passer we've ever seen.
But this season particularly, I believe his CONTRIBUTION to the team has been second to none and I would put him second to Ruddy as MVP (like that CS?).
Fox would always win the skills competitions but Bradders would win the fights.

I can't see dropping Bradders is an option at all - his contribution this year has been huge and he is far too valuable to the team in the role he has - no-one else can do what he does in the way he does it. Sure his distribution could be better - I have often critisced him in the past for giving the ball away too easily after doing such a great job in the first place to win it, but his passing has got better, especially when he keeps it simple.

Tettey hasn't quite got the same buzz as he had a few weeks ago and if anyone had to make way for Foxy then I think it would have to be Tettey, however, I still think we look more secure when Johnson and Tettey play together as a unit so it's hard to see how we could make way for Fox even though most of us, including me, would like to see him feature more often.

Can't we just play 4-6-0? Have Fox, Tettey and Johnson as holding players, and then Pilks, Snoddy and Wessi free to do as they please further up the pitch? Barcelona eat your heart out!

Or play 4-5-1-1 and hope the opposition and officials don't notice !!

<laugh> Genius! In fact, with an outfield as amazing as that, why even bother with a goalkeeper?

I'd drop Johnson ahead of Fox more for the legs, neither Johnson or Fox are particularly mobile, Tettey can react alot quicker than Johnson. I'd also tend to think Fox could set up Tettey with a few bursting runs which would give us much better options.

Home to Newcastle, I think we can dispense with the two break up players in there. Fox isn't great at it but he's done it before on his own and been reasonable, perhaps some of the shackles can come off.

Newcastle are in a mess at the moment.

I think Fox will more likely have a role from the bench, particularly if City are chasing the game. Put on a second striker, bring on Benno for Wes, then let Fox pick them out with killer passes as the opposition tire. It's worth a try, IMO.

I don't think Hughton will drop either Tettey or Johnson. I've heard Tettey hasn't been too great of late so obviously that would be the likely player to replace but his had a good rest so it could be down to tiredness.
