Pearson wants to keep Keane

Nigel Pearson wants to extend Michael Keanes loan until the end of the season. As he has been here 3 months we can no longer extend the loan unless we do it until the end of the season

I'd like to think we could sign him permanently.

But he'll be the next Rio Ferdinand for United. Absolutely superb defender.

 

Even if Baptiste was signed, Zak and SStL are prob going to be sharing a physio table this season on and off, so we would need cover.

 

Honestly, this lad is magnificently. Yet to be really tested though but looks absolutely superb.

 

Manchester United have just let Wootton go on loan to Peterborough for the rest of the season, so I'd imagine that may mean they might want Keane back at the end of the month for cover. Or they're doing so as he's the one they're going to hold on to, Fergie wants his favoured son to nurture him. Would be a big mistake though as Keane>Wootton.

Keane has looked like he's playing above his years very composed and great vision yet he looks about 12 years old lol

 

He's very skinny, does worry me a little bit.

 

This latest BBC article suggests that Nigel is realistic about any hope of signing the kid permanently ...

No use trying to read between the lines. Nige will be very careful about what he says, he doesn't want to give false promises to the fans nor will he want to reveal to much about his talks with United. Let's just see how he performs for the rest of the time he's here, and if Nige rates him, he'll put a bid in - even if he's not too optimistic about it succeeding.

No suprise, i think he wants to sign him but knows he probably cant. Looks top class but is actually yet to be tested really. Out of interested, what would people pay for him?

 

I'f offer £1 million with bolted on sell-on / international clauses ... United do face a bit of a dilemna .. how long will the boy be happy not playing and could he just run his contract down and move on (like I think Daniel Sturridge did at Man City) ...

 

He is at utd, i think a lot of them are happy to wait

 

Hmmmmmmmmmmm .. our team is full of ex-Man Utd youngsters and a certain Ravel Morrison also springs to mind .....

 

Ravel Morrison was a bad apple though - hardly pulling up strings now.
