when i was referring to "ITK"'s, i meant gards and suter. They seem spot on. Not all of these other "ITK's". - haven't considered any of them for a long time!

Yeah the amount that are getting attention now just because they called a lucky guess on something is ridiculous. Apparantly over on SC, they now consider Akqa as their own version of Voldemort from Harry Potter, they don't speak his name <laugh>

Seems that Livermore has definitely gone to QPR. Martin Jol's given it away in his press conference.
“Jake Livermore went to QPR, as you all well know, so he is off the list”.
He's also definitely interested in Huddlestone.

Yeah think it's a loan. Be very surprised if we sell Jake. He'll be Sandro's understudy in the DM role more so than Parker next season I reckon.

Can't see us getting rid of both Livermore and Hudd this window...

Why not? we have Parker Sandro Bale Lennon Sig and Dembele, all vying for a MF berth, its unlikely either will see nothing but a bench and the odd ten minutes if they're lucky.

In terms of players who can play central midfield we have Sandro, Dembele, Parker, Sig, Hudd, and Jake. I wouldn't feel safe if it was just Sandro, Dembele, Parker and Sig, given Parker's recent injury problems.

There's 6 MFers I named, thats not including youngsters, thats enough for a starting line-up plus back up, you can't have back up for back up just sitting there for ifs and buts, you have to draw a line somewhere for the benefit of the players.

Parkers injuries was 'an' injury, his achilles, its been operated on so I don't see what more there is to do. You could say the same thing about Dembele and his hip.

Thats what I thought and we discussed this earlier in the thread but 8 million for someone that has played a max of 25 league games in a season in the past three season's would be a huge risk for any club, and I think thats why none of the bigger clubs have gone in for him.

IMO this is to get him in the shop window. he'll do well at QPR and play regularly. Then once his value has risen, we'll sell him. I don't think he's of the dynamic skillful type that AVB wants.

i agree notso. There's too much talent way higher up the pecking order ATM. even if both are loans in this window, the club will sell in the summer for more of AVB's wanted list.

also, what if we do end up getting Holtby in this window? that could still happen. as well as moutinho if the rumours are true. Jake and Hudd have no chance. Carroll might aswell go out on loan to develop, as well.

I don't think Sneijder wants to go to Turkey, didn't he have until today to choose Turkey if he wanted that destination and we haven't heard anything on that front have we.

Selling Jake would be a real shame in my eyes, seems to really have a passion for the club and want to do well here, not just anywhere he can. It's nice to see that from a young player. I think he needs this loan to really prove he can do his stuff when the chips are down however, and if it ends up in him leaving in the summer then it'll be sad but at least we'll free up a squad berth.

Carroll needs football, whether thats with us or if he has to drop down to the Championship to start games I don't know but I really want to see him play and develop.

Jake is a bit like O'Hara to me. Minus the ill advised punditry comments. Gives his all and we all want him to succeed because of that and because he has come through the ranks. But just short on the quality he needs to be a regular, just.

totally agree Spurm. sadly, I don't think he's ever going to be a regular with us. the money could be used in other areas.

sneijder has until monday i believe, Huddle. I agree with Carroll. I think he's got something more about him and just needs games. He's a really exciting young footballer. I hope he goes somewhere where his raw talent will develop.

yeah agreed. O'hara is a very good comparison. When we had O'hara, we were a team finishing around 5-6th and he was a good squad player, just as Jake is for that. Top 4 and beyond is a different ball game, IMO.
