PSG have offered Nicolas Anelka a 6-months contract, claim Radio MC,could have effect on Gameiro's situation
3.5 is just a steal. 17:25 GMT: Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko has revealed he will wait until his current contract expires at the end of the season before deciding which club to join, with the 23-year old giving a subtle indication that it may be Newcastle. The French international is reportedly being chased by Juventus, Tottenham, and the Magpies, with current club Toulouse recently admitting they would accept a fee of just ¬3.5million for him in January. "I will wait until the end of the season and decide what to do," said Sissoko."I might stay here, who knows. In football, strange things happen. Newcastle are a good team with some French players, so they are attractive to me, but at the end of the season we will see what happens."
17:00 GMT: Ibtimes.co.uk are reporting that Ajax will look to bring Assaidi back to the Eredivisie from Liverpool. The 24-year-old made his name at Heerenveen before switching to Anfield. Great way of strengthening our squad this. We better have someone good lined up if we let Assaidi and Sahin go.
A shame Sahin wasn't given a proper chance, but i really hope there are some replacements. BR only recently mentioned about the lack of squad depth, so i really hope he brings some replacement. He's the manager and should know what he needs more than the owners. I really hope he's not being just a puppet here. This looks like the Dempsey deal all over again.
It's easy to forget how bad our finances actually were. Last financial year, we made a loss of 40mill or so, which FSG picked up rather than put the debt on the club. This year is expected to be another loss, but a little less. We might have got rid of Cole, but we're still paying 50k a week because of his signing on fee. We've got rid of Sahin, but we paid them upfront already for the loan so still money lost. Our wage bill is lower, but we're still making a loss each year and FSG want us to be self sufficient - ie, they don't have to cover our losses. Which is smart ownership with FFP (if it happens) coming in. I do worry that we've got rid of Sahin without lining up a replacement first, though. Even if he wasn't first pick, he was a choice. We now don't have that luxury...and it sounds awfully similar to Carroll over the summer; which we suffered for. I hope we've not made the same mistake, although at least we've got time now. Lastly, if we're going to offload Assaidi, I hope we at least sell him back for what we paid for him. Fed up of making losses on players and being bullied by other clubs. Either make no loss or make a profit...or just keep him as a good backup.
I don't' understand, if we've already paid the money upfront, then we might as well have kept him till summer, at least for the sake of the money we paid. It's not like he's going to be of no use.
Well, that was what I was saying yesterday. We'd paid for him for the season. What I'm not sure on, is how it works financially now; do we pay some of his wages still or are Dortmund covering it all? If we are, we royally ****ed up by not keeping him or playing him more and we wasted more money. Whatever, he's gone. I hope our owners and BR have a backup plan.
Reports are out that Swansea has tabled a 7million bid for Ince. Oops even they are willing to splash some cash. Though i'd actually like Gameiro than Ince this window.
Moussa Sissoko out there for 3.5, really can't be a bad deal adn will add some strength in our midfield, something we haven' had since Mascher and well, Sissoko, of old.
Very good source on twitter saying thats cr*p, the source who is sayin its crap, is a lot more reliable than talksport who come up with the Ince Swansea story
Would love him at the club. Good player, absolute bargain price and cheap wages. Young and can/will improve. I don't see why we wouldn't be putting a bid for him really...
I prefer Gameiro more than the two you mentioned because he could play in all of the front 3 positions. BR craves for such flexibility so this deal could happen. Both the players you mentioned could only play as striker but we already bought Sturridge so it's highly unlikely. Sow has had a pretty torrid time in Turkey, i don't think he'd be a good choice, Aubamayeng would have been better than Sturridge though.
Damn, so Sahin's gone, Assaidi unsure. We need to bring in some quality. Walcott, Gameiro anyone good FFS.
