Apparently he has told Lee Camp he can leave and has recalled a loan 'keeper. I know that Camp was probably hoping for a move but latest reports suggest he won't play for them again. Nice way to build on S O'D's work there Alex!
He is far far far too good and too well paid to be a back up keeper. He could perhaps take on the premiership, maybe.
I think he wants to play in the premier league and is one of the reasons why he hasn't signed a new deal. He's what 29, 30 now - he is looking for that big contract that will set him up for life. I can definitely see one of the Premier League's bottom half sides being interested in him, someone the equivalent of Fulham, Villa, West Ham, Norwich maybe.
^ the problem is, there is only one keeper position and how many prem teams will see him as a step up? He is not a bench keeper. Its one of them positions where normally if there isnt a problem, you dont try and fix it.
Definitely, look at Given at Villa. Great 'keeper but Guzan is the man in posession and he hasn't done anything wrong so he keeps his place.
But he is a 29 year old winger who will be losing his pace very very soon and at a club who need money. Dont know his contratc situation but if its short maybe not overly laughable.
He's linked with us too. They've also been linked with Hurellio Gomez from Spurs(sorry for the spelling) and Fabianski!
I actually rate Gomes very highly. Mistakes yes, but terrific shot stopper who could pull off the impossible.
Amended for you Charlie. The first weekend after the Christmas break was always long in coming, as I remember.
