Plus the odds are that we will lose Michu in the summer if he keeps up his form - that would give Danny another chance if Michu's replacement doesn't 'do a Michu' for us.
We're currently discussing the possibility of taking him off your hands, and most of us aren't opposed to it. I think most undervalue him as a player, which is odd because I'm possibly the least observant supporter in the world... Apparently Graham is a Geordie? Whenever I've heard him in interviews I was just automatically transported to an idyllic mountain spring in the valleys, not a bunch of street-youths glassing pensioners in some rough estate in Gateshead Can't see a move (or a good one anyway) happening, and don't see why it would be beneficial to Swansea to sell him to be honest. Laudrup uses him well, if I was his adviser I'd tell him to stick around a club going places!
Graham is a Newcastle supporter and has stated in the past that Newcastle would be his dream move. If there is interest from St James' park I'm sure he would jump at the chance
the buzz from the liberty is Danny is in talks with martin O'Neil and looks like he could join them by monday...
Is that nailed on dai. Just think as he has found his goal touch again is the time we shouldnt be selling . let Lita nd Moore go. Keep Danny for me.
I'd be amazed if he was allowed to leave without at least as good or better player is brought in first. Not saying it wouldn't happen but ?Huw's not one to be messed around and if he's going then it should be on our terms . He may not be welcome anyway.http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/189538-Why-we-should-NEVER-sign-Graham " Why we should NEVER sign Graham If anyone was in ANY doubts, this is why we should NEVER sign this black and white ****er. From fans on line.com I cant imagine ANY fan worth his or her salt would accept signing a player who had this kind of sentiment for their biggest local rivals AND who stated this about that team. If we did sign him it should be the duty of every loyal fan to boo the ****er every time he touched the ball and make it their mission to make him feel about as welcome as dog **** on your shoe. I can just imagine the 'welcome' a Sunderland fan signing for the goon squad up the road would be given after saying that about them. "
I personally hope he stays but after talks with sir mike then he has agreed to talk offers. Martin is very keen on signing him and he is saying he will get him so make of that as you will. I did phone my oppo at the liberty to see if he has heard anything and the rumor is that Danny looks to be on his way out if the deal is right. Laudrup will not stop him if thats what he wants
If Danny wants out then fair enough but he is contracted, so we are not obliged to sell him if Laudrup thinks he can get us a few goals. If he has to go, I hope it will be for a minimum £6 million and preferably £8 million. A striker with his track record in the Premier League is worth that. Apart from anything else, I am assuming that we have a replacement lined up.... and a good one at that. Think on. If Michu gets injured, which could easily happen, who is going to get our goals? Moore? Schecter? Lita? I don't think so! Danny is better than any of them, so why allow him to leave unless we have some quality coming in?
Yes you could be right ivor, sir mike must have a replacement already as i cant see him giving Danny his blessing otherwise. I wish Danny would stay as he is still a valuable member of the team and will certainly get games...If it was under Brendan then i would not be bothered if he went but under sir mike he is improving every game....
Why would we sell an in form striker for less than we paid for him?.. We simply don't need the money and we are already short of good strikers. Sounds daft to me.
http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...graham-is-a-newcastle-united-fan-and-can-t-st I wonder if he has any regrets
Sell him, hopefully we'll get closer to £8 million with a couple of teams interested. He's slow, he doesn't impose himself physically, no threat in the air, his passing skills are mediocre & he can't beat a man with skill. He's a good instinctive finisher inside the box but he's also missed alot of simple 1 on 1's when he's time to look up with the ball at his feet. He's been woeful this season with the exception of the last few games before yesterday, he may had scored 13 goals from 40+ games last season but it's not like he didn't get good service, especially when Sigurdsson arrived we were creating alot of chances. It'd be good business if we sell him and bring in Kenwyne Jones for less money then sign a #1 striker in the summer, let's face it Graham doesn't even want to be here and comes across as having a poor attitude.
If we get close to £8m for DG then we should put in a bid for Aspas, read today that reading have offered the full amount to trigger his clause. surely he would pick us over them if the option arose?
Sky Sports are reporting that Norwich have bid £5m for Danny. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...rwich-bid-5m-for-Swansea-striker-Danny-Graham
