RANGERS chief executive Charles Green has said he will use sex discrimination laws to force Uefa into letting the Scottish side to join the English Premier League.

Green has regularly suggested he could campaign for the Glasgow side to join a league south of the border.

And his determination for Rangers to join English football has been further strengthened by the decision of Scottish authorities to re-organise their league structure.

The proposals, which clubs will vote on before the end of this month, will see Rangers remain in the bottom tier even if they win this season's Third Division title.

But Green claimed the Ibrox outfit will ditch Scottish football altogether if the new plans get the go-ahead.

"As the structures stand now, there are not many options. But I'm not one for hiding my light behind a bushel," he told TalkSport.

"People say you can't go into England because you are not allowed cross-borders (leagues).

"Well there is now a cross-border (league). You have a Uefa-sanctioned professional women's league in Belgium and Holland, so we have a precedent there.

"If there was an opportunity to join a cross-border league and that was challenged by Uefa, I would go to Strasbourg and challenge the sexual equality."

Green also suggested that he would have the backing of Rangers' fans if took the club away from Scotland, even if they had to begin in the lower leagues.

Charles, Sevco can join any NEW league they like. It's only an issue trying it in existing leagues.

he's starting to annoy me with this ****e now. He's quite right to say what's the point in finishing this league if we can't be promoted but sex discrimination? get ****ed

But he forgets that even if the league structure he (or mccoist) favoured - 16 10 16 - was implemented, he'd/Rangers, would still be in the same position re no promotion/pointless league win!

And Rangers, wether the structure stays the same or changes to a new one, are still working on the same timescale to get to the top division...

He's a fanny! If (and thank **** I'm not) a Rangers fan would be embarresed that he was representing the club I supported!

i think he's pandering to a certain type of supporter. these specific supporters all think he's a legend

the smarter ones can see through him though.

quiet down man, the script is that the spl / sfa is out to screw rangers over. any reasonable argument to the contrary will be dismissed as timmy paranoia
