I can read perfectly, & what I read & responded to, was you claiming that we were inconsistent over the last decade? wtf does the last decade have to do with anything? Our recent history shows that we've always been far better in the 2nd half of seasons actually, but the 'history' doesn't matter a shiney ****e does it? What matters is form & current consistency, which is why I reminded you that we've only lost 3 out of our last 30 league games.

The context of your comment about the future being in your own hands, was after you'd concluded that all of the major sides in the chase had flaws, in a debate about 4th place. Pardon me for concluding that you meant that the opportunity to grasp 4th lay with you, lol.

so lets bite on this one and do the math.

    17 games x 3 points = 51 fine
    17 x 2 = 34
    17 = 16 -1 .... so say you get 9 points out of 12.. there are 4 blocks of 4 games left = 9X4 = 32 + say 1.

so lets be clear 33 points is just about championship form.

we have 31 points.... 31+33 = 64points.... yes 4th has been got for that i nthe past but rare, so very rare. 69 points got it last year.

this year spurs and chelsea have 39 and 38 points respectively. sothey only need 27 points to get to 65 points... or in other words beat us to 4th. 27 points = 9 wins out of 17.

so both chelsea and spurs, not to mention others like everton need to do VERY badly for us to catch up. we need to bascially win 3 out of every 4 games at least... neither is happening.

    forget it!

for this to occur we need:

    1. proper strength in depth, we are covered in some areas not in others. especially up top.

    2. we need to be much better defensively. we've lost too mayn game and kept throwing in stupid goals all year

    3. we need to have higher work ethic all round.

    4. we need to be stronger physically to compete in the prem.

    5. we need tactical adjustment and nouse from certain players as we push too far forard with too many players chasing things and just leave ourselves far to open, especially when as usual we have made 10 chances, taken none and get desperate.

    6. we need to play for 90 mins not switch off, our past few games we've turned off after half time and could have handed in a cricket socre but ended 3-0 winners. we've stopped playing after 30mins far to often and conceeded goals and we've come out and been slow to start after half time as well... its all about heads on the game and out working other teams in the key times of the match... you can go in leading and relax while the other team is getting a bollocking and they come out fired up and we just are saunering then wonde rwhy...

We have got near that points tally before recently though. Which is what my point was. We have not got near 51 points in 17 games, so its not similar at all.

Corrections in bold. I agree though, it's unlikely you'll get 4th, it requires too many sides to falter whilst you guys go on a great run.

Hate the way you say about how some decisions have gone against us and if this decision went for you then it'd be 2 points more and if that decision then we'd have been a point closer. The only problem with that is that Everton and Chelsea join Liverpool as the teams who have had some of the worst decisions this years so you probably still wouldn't be above us if we got all the points we had taken off us by referees as well as you did.

    Everton's next four is:

    Swansea H
    Southampton A
    West Brom H
    Aston Villa H

on paper that's 12 points but we will probably get 9/10

Liverpools next four (I don't know the order):

    United A
    Norwich H
    Arsenal A
    Man City A

On paper, that's Probably 4 points yet you'll probably end up with about 6.

There's a very good possibility that the current gap of five points between us will be extended to at least ten after the next four games.

And then you can take into account that we might still be fifth at the point, so you could be as many as 12 points behind (probably spurs) who'll be fourth.

unless you pull something miraculous off in them four games.

4th is already gone in my eyes.

Champ league would be too early for this squad anyway - we wouldn't want to embarrass ourselves like Everton in 2005 would we?

What you mean when we lost due to Collina (after being brought out of retirement for 1 game ) disallowed a perfectly good Ferguson goal & we were edged out by a superb Villareal side who went on to reach the semi-final - embarrassing? nah.

That was a really tough draw, Villareal were a well organized machine under pelligrino.

Didn't they have a penalty saved by Lehman to deny them the final? karma probably.

I'm convinced that draw was 'warm balls' they didn't want 5 English sides in the League stages & the draw plus the odd selection of an already retired Collina stank to high heaven. Not sure about the pen can't remember tbh, but they were a class outfit.

If I told them not to talk to you, they wouldn't talk to you. Neither would go anywhere near a married man either. They have ethics and morals. They take after their father in that respect <ok>

I think 4th is still a possibility but the team under Rodgers have been too inconsistent to call it atm. Let's see if we can string together a few wins to give us a bit of hope.

Isn't it strange how our awful season and Everton's awesome season sees us still only 7 points off.

Are you truly that thick? If your record over the last decade shows a propensity to Finish strongly but this season you STARTED strongly then the strong possibility is that you will NOT finish strongly this season!!!!

You can't even spell revisionist, so I suppose I shouldn't be shocked that you patently don't know what it means. As all of that was fact.
