    Opinion:
    Although di Resta has had the misfortune to become the subject of derision within this forum, he     presently has as much basis in F1 – if not more – than any of those mooted to replace him.

    My view is that Di Resta was brought in as a Mercedes Protegé. Now Force india are looking to ditch Mercedes for Ferrari Power (I know! it sounds mad doesnt it?), Where does that put Pauls stance in the team?

    I'm in the opinion that Mercedes want to hold the advantage in engine power over the other teams now, McLaren in particular to try and get rid of another rival. Mercedes will try to squeeze them now or force them to use a Cosworth engine because Ferrari will laugh at McLaren and I know IRBR will love to veto out Mclaren using Renault engines after they vetoed them out of Mercedes engines in 2009. It looks like McLaren will be up against the wall come 2014-??

    Ferrari won't mind giving an engine to Force India since they're not really a threat and as a whole better structured than Toro Rosso and also not owned by a major rival.

    In all honesty I don't mind Di Resta, but for me now knowing Mercedes has Lewis, Paul has become expendable and is pointless to keep as going for Hulk looks to be a better idea if they can't get Seb down the line and also keeps a German in a SilverArrow if Nico fails to do the job.

    It will be a RB9.

    The up-specced RB9b for Webber gets launched a few weeks later. RBR are sure the upgrades won't hurt him as much as those on the RB8 this year and it will definitely help him get over his poor starts. Sneak preview of it here.

    Bianchi, Sutil lineup. The long delay only makes it more obvious in my opinion since they had to pay off Paul for letting him go early.
