Thought so, Josh. I'm not criticising, but I now understand your viewpoint more. You do see a lot more at the match, and you also get to hear more clearly what the fans are thinking. TV/radio can be misleading. You're at the mercy of the director for the tv, and the commentators for tv & radio. One person's opinion & view of what's unfolding before them might not be the view of the majority - and often isn't. They might not even like Leeds!

Interesting point you make about the backroom staff, and possibly hugely valid. I'd never thought of their credentials before. I've no idea who they are, tbh! Certainly not got the biggest reputations in the game, have they?

Whilst we're talking about all these links, it's been confirmed by McLeish that we haven't made any approach to the Florists for Blackstock (or anyone, for that matter!).

Fair enough, I actually don't think we should be signing Blackstock anyway in truth though. Priorities for me must be LB, LM/LW, CB, CM, ST and in that order. The first two for me are a must if we are to have any hope but Colin seems so intent on a striker for some reason. I think with Becchio's goalscoring form and with McCormack there as well with many others around we really don't need to be overly concerned. Saying that wouldn't mind Bradford's striker but I doubt he'd be breaking into the team this season anyway and would be more a longer term thing

Seems obvious to everyone on here that we don't need a striker, yet Warnock has been banging on for ages about needing one. Could we be doing him an injustice, as he may be using reverse psychology to keep the front lads on their toes, and telling the other clubs that we won't be looking for midfielders or defenders, which may keep the price down?

Lets be fair here, which strikers are better than what we have, for the money we'd be willing to spend. talk of becs being bought for £4m, Ross was wanted for £2.5m ...... No chance of us spending 2, 3 or 4 million on a replacement, so maybe he's frigging with peoples heads? For the right reasons

The other way of looking at it is to ask yourself how we'd get on if Becchio did his cruciate, or something like that. We do need another striker, and ideally one of true PL quality. The eternal pessimist within me however, predicts that it'll be a promising' lower league striker. *sigh*

I'm happier now we've signed Tonge. Nice that we could get that done and dusted fairly sharpish. I do want to see 2 proper wingers join though, one isn't enough. Paul Green is great on the wing, but he's not a proper winger and it shows when he's against really good fullbacks.

Gonzalo Jara has signed on loan for Forest. He's the sort of player we should be after - skillful and not a journeyman.

Forest have a team full of skillful players. We have a team full of... well I'm not sure really.

I'm not sure either in this context, but can I suggest that the word 'inconsistent' is used to help describe them in the final analysis?

Jara is average. Just because a player has played for a premier league team does not instantly make him better than what we have!
