Lunch today has been Chorizo Sausages with TommyK, plus a fried egg, on a fresh barm. Then mug of tea to wash it all down with... Deelissshhh...

Now to watch a few of the races to pass the time of day... Cockney Sparrow should win but if he dosnt Stickleback to snatch it at 16/1...

    Soup, ham, cheese.

    Afternoon chaps

I may have another bet if something persuades me but in an effort to solve the Northern National I have selected Jaunty Journey ew at 12's and had a few pence on him. That makes it around six different views on this race so far!

I agree Stickleback is the each way pop in the first but the favourite can't lose unless it falls.

Roasted chicken leg with a honey and lime mariade served with cous-cous and a mint-yoghurt sauce. A bit bland if I'm honest, could have done with some fresh chillis to liven it up.

I like the look of Any Currency - was going quite nicely until unshipping his rider in his previous start and prior to that finished 4th behind Monbeg Dude. Tongue strap fitted today and McCoy up has to have a big chance. I also like Lively Barron who defeated Major Malarky in his last start and has previously finished behind Teaforthree at Cheltenham last season. This race is nowhere near that class so they are the 2 for me each way!!

You're not wrong there red. Remember the joke in Trading Places about the snail driving a car with a big S painted on it. "Look at the S car go" <laugh> Also Jamie Lee Curtis VERY fit in that film <ok>
