According to The Times we are in talks to sign Habib Habibou who plays for Belgian side Zulte Waregem. 6ft 4in striker...
I've had difficulty taking the name "Habib" seriously since watching The Thin Blue Line. Mind you, we could do with a laugh down at LR
========================================== Habib Habibou is about to leave when Zulte Waregem. The French striker left the training camp in Spain and is close to a final agreement with the British Queens Park Rangers. Habibou dreamed already of the Premier League. The past summer saw a transfer ricocheted because injuries, now it seems bingo. The burly striker was yesterday no longer be detected in the training camp of Zulte Waregem. He remained in England to negotiate a permanent transfer. Normally he draws at Queens Park Rangers, with thirteen points currently the red lantern in England. Negotiations are at least in an advanced stage. Habibou had the merger team has a contract until 2014, but it is no secret that he was driving it on departure. "I feel that they attract to our players," coach told Dury yet. "The month of January is very difficult. It is especially annoying because you can not anticipate. You see that competition is enhanced, such as Club. We are a training club, we have to live with these transfers. " Apparently he is watching that perhaps players leave. http://translate.google.co.uk/trans...a=X&ei=qL7tUJnfO-eM0wX1gIGoCw&ved=0CEwQ7gEwAg
Northy that is one of the best translations I've seen, 'The past summer saw a transfer ricocheted because injuries, now it seems bingo.' Fantastic. Bit worried about the 'burly' bit, are we resigning Dave?
Had a trial at Brighton, and was rejected. Can't really decide if that makes him worth signing or not; 16 goals in 70 games in the Belgian league, seems he's just like what we've become accustomed to.
Like this? (The text is quite apt as well.)
I'm very very underwhelmed at the prospect of this one. Mind you, I wasn't excited by Derry, Mackie or Hill either. Here's hoping for another pleasant surprise.
