I used to believe in God and was talked out of it.

I'm sure most Atheists believed in God when they were children.

But you don't have an issue with people who were not talked out of it and who still beleve? I don't see why anyone would.

Only if they have a similarly live and let live outlook.

I used to be almost overly-respectful of people's beliefs.

I'm not anymore. Something objectionable should not be ignored because it's intrinsic to a dogma.

    Some things should be challenged.

There are plenty of examples in the news recently as I'm sure you know - without diverting the thread into a rehash of the previous thread, the Indian woman dying unnecesarrily in Ireland springs to mind along with a few other examples.

The lives of those who don't share your beliefs shouldn't be affected by yours.

I too used to believe in God (was taught at school) but later came to the conclusion, trough reading, exploring and discussion, that there was no God.

Is that okay with you agnostic?

You believe i'm agnostic - despite all the evidence to the contrary - and you have the gall to have a go at others for beleiving in somehing for which there is no evidence?

No, it's based on what you've said on this thread.

Even MD can see it and he's a thick **** (there you go MD - back to normal).

You didn't, but you said you can't rule out the possibility that he exists. That makes you an agnostic.

There's no shame in being an agnostic by the way.
