O/T Hull Trains

    Surely its about time the government take back the Hull Trains franchise from First Group. I see yet again that there are severe disruptions and cancellations due to train faults.

    It seems the class of train they now use is unreliable given the route it takes. This is the cities fastest link to the capital FFS.

    I know it seems Hull people seem to have a chip on their shoulders about the way the city is seen and treated, but it isn't surprising. The train issue is just another in a long line of areas where we are seen as not important ( check the post re electrification of rail tracks)

    I just can't see how First could have failed so badly with Hull Trains. I'm sure they got rid of another type of train to some other company because it got damaged ONCE... and this type breaks down all the time. First do a sterling job with TransPennine Express who I use virtually everyday from Hull > Leeds, maybe they should just concentrate on that.
