I don't know. is rooney fit?

I think in any other game they would go 442, but we have one of the strongest midfield's at the moment and I think SAF will be acutely aware of that. Although we might not always be able to find that breakthrough, we have a lot of possession. - that, added to being patient and we're bound to cause them problems. As the away team, I can just see them switching it up slightly. - perhaps Rooney will drop off (if he's fit) leaving RVP as the lone ranger.

    anyway... back to QPR!!

such an important game and 3 points is a must with united just around the corner, and the fact that Chelsea and Arsenal have tough games!

    COYS!

United have a midweek game (we don't! :)) against Big Sams cloggers before they play us, so there could be other fitness issues. I think I'd prefer a full side tbh, I can't bear the thought of Luke and his bumbling excuses if it goes our way!

let's hope the cloggers cause a few "knocks". I couldn't care less if they don't have a full side, I just want us to beat them. This is our best chance in ages and we've proven once already that we're capable of doing it. just need a good solid performance, otherwise we'll be punished. - probably in the "+4 minutes"

Wotcha Boys. Hows the boy Walker doing these days. He was very good for us when we had him on loan but I've heard he's had a bad run of form?
I think anything less than a win this Saturday will see us down. I know there's loads of games left but the fact is we have 13 points from 21 games. Shockingly bad.

I'm praying for a win but its doubtful.

How do you lads rate AVB compared to Redknapp? Different styles I bet?

If it's any comfort, Spurs' win has gotten me pulling for Man U to win the league this year. It's better to have beaten the winners.

I'm thinking both teams will be going all out from the start. We left Man U in the starting blocks last time, and I can't imagine Fergie letting it happen again. I wouldn't be surprised to see the reverse of the first fixture: Man U going out to the lead, and Spurs coming back. It could be one of the most exciting games of the year.

Incidentally, I have to say I underestimated Man U this year on the theory that their midfield wasn't that good. Well, I still don't think it's great--though Scholes and Giggs have been superb, considering their age--but when you've got RVP banging 'em in like he's been, and decent defending, I guess it doesn't much matter.

Walker seem's to be returning to form now,and AVB is doing alright so far, completly different style,AVB has more tactical approach than Harry did

The jury's out on that one, and will stay there for a while. Redknapp got us fourth 2/3 years, easily the best anyone's done in recent times. If you ask me, though, much as I liked Redknapp and as grateful as I am for what he did, I like AVB even better (so far). He's got us pressing and outworking other teams, whereas we used to seem vulnerable to pressure and getting outworked. He also seems to have a master plan which the players, not to mention me, are buying into. We'll see.

Well he's off to the ACON after the game at Loftus Road, so there's another break for him coming-up.

But what's really worrying is that both Defoe & Adebayor have only scored one goal each after our win against Panathinaikos, while Dempsey has scored four from just three starts.

Well I've got my own view on Ade, which i've expressed in the Transfer thread.

I gave Dempsey a lot of stick only up until a few weeks ago, but he's scoring the goals and looking more confident. - Hats off to him. I still don't think he's quite the man for us, but he's versatile and he's scoring goals out of nothing situations. - Sometimes u need a player who's going to give you that. He deserves a start. Perhaps with him hitting form and Ade leaving, Dempsey can continue scoring the goals and make up for his performances towards the start of the season. Good luck to him.

    SPURS TEAM NEWS:

Andre Villas-Boas reports no fresh injuries ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash at QPR.

William Gallas remains out with the calf strain he sustained at Villa on Boxing Day but apart from that, long-term absentee Younes Kaboul is the only player on the treatment table.

"William will be out of the game, unfortunately," said Andre after training on Thursday. "The rest of the team is fine."

A reminder that we kick-off at 12.45pm at Loftus Road.

Great work again 6061. For me, this is just the sort of game we would lose under Harry. I think we have more than enough to win , just as we would have done under HR, but AVB seems to be better able to access this on a regular basis. Looking forward to this one.

I'll be there as usual......but, as usual, I don't expect us to get much from the game. You should have far too much quality for us. 1st goal is vital imo!!

AVB has nailed it away from home far better than Redknapp with his counter attacking style, however Redknapp had the team playing with more freedom at home.

The jury is still out, whilst our current position is very nice, it can also be slightly misleading. Couple of bad results and we could be down in 6th, so long way to go. But I think with current form and Scott Parker in particular returning, which seems to have resolved our concentration issues in the latter part of the game (hoping I haven't jinxed us Sat), we have a damn good chance of finishing 4th.

Lawro thinks a 1-1 draw for us and a win at Stoke for Chelsea. Don't know what to post.
