I can understand Chick's frustration with the mooted league reconstruction, but I think talk of us going elsewhere is premature. He obviously wants his views to be heard regarding this and if we are not being represented at the talks this is his way of doing so albeit a bit scatter-gun. I would very much doubt he's beeling as Pud suggests:D

12 18 12? Surely most supporters want a bigger premier division so as to alleviate the tedious four times a season lark we have at present? Will current division one teams want to vote for an 18 team league which surely lessons their chances of promotion to the top league? Will the current Division 3 teams vote for it when it renders their current season meaningless? Will all the voting clubs consult with their supporters in order to allow those who don't actually go to the games to have their say in the name of sporting integrity? Are they doing this so they don't have to tackle the stripping of titles fiasco? How can this happen in a Christian country:steam:? Will their feeble attempts to reinvent the wheel merely plunge more clubs into financial difficulty? Will fans of Scottish clubs eventually tire of a fairly poor product and talk with their feet? On and on and on...

To say chuckles isn't beeling, when it's likely he'll not get his bonus for promotion, is just ridiculous. In his STV interview, he's stoney grey.

    With an air of beel.

The new league structure being floated around is mad

But so is the current one

It has Green raging so I say go for it, it won't affect Celtic whatever happens and if it doesn't work they will change it again anyway

I think that Charlie is delighted, that is why he came out today with his mock indignant
Rant. Pure showmanship, deep down he is delighted as the fat boy, Ally won't have to
get any war chest for transfer funds. If the signing embargo is actually lifted in September
Charlie will be able to tell him that the squad is good enough for the bottom tier. If Charlie was really angry, surely he would have used the professional ranter and raver James T. He keeps him for use when things are really bad.

whilst on the subject of quitting scottish fitba, I have often thought that ra sellick would benefit from a move to Dublin?
I reckon they would still sell out their home games plus attract better sponsorship away from the Old Firm bile plus they
would probably win the league every year hence guaranteeing European football!!

what do you think about that lurkers?

If the 85%ers on here go to **** all games when their team plays only a few miles away can you imagine how many would go to see them playing in the Republic.

I agree. It's all good fun slapping teams about in SFL3 but it's hard to compare to that nervous/excited feeling of pre match Old Firm.

    Aye.

I'm no interested in moving to England I'm more inclined to some sort of european league but that is unlikely. Talk of leaving Scotland over these plans is just naive.

Hopefully something can be sorted out that benefits all the clubs but I do think the current setup of 12 teams is just boring as ****. I'd have much more interest if there was 16 or 18 teams.

I'd rather go down the Atlantic League route than play in the top Scottish league again. Playing the likes of Ajax, Porto and PSV each week is certainly more appealing than the Ross Counties, ICTs and Dundee Hibs of this world. The corrupt dinosaurs at UEFA will never allow it though.
