Richie De Laet was a strange one. When I went to Chelsea last year he had Torres and Drogba in his pocket all game, and then makes a mistake right at the end. Seriously on his day he is a very good defender but just loses his head which makes his performance irrelevant.
Your Right, very young still though and has gone from playing in league two to the champions league. He's going to need game time in the premiership to become a well rounded top flight player.

twitter went into meltdown at this news! in fact, he is on 'work experience' as we have no youth keepers available at the moment. work experience has really changed these days. i did mine at barnham broom golf club!!

the edp are linking us with hamburg's midfielder per ciljan skjelbred. if its the guy i'm thinking of he was a wonderkid as a teenager in norway but i've not heard anything about him for about three years. i didn't even know he was at hamburg! gut feeling is this would be a waste of a squad spot and no better than what we already have so i for one hope this is a non-starter.
From wikipedia, apparently Hamburg have called his transfer 'a mistake', and he's someone they're looking to offload. Probably cheap, but as Supers says, I can't see him being any better than what we've got.
