Cheers for clearing that up Supers - I know you don't like Nursey and I'm well aware he isn't the most reliable source in the world, but at the minute he's the only person in the world saying anything for us to talk about
Hmmm, when you think about it, Welbeck going out on loan does make sense. Not getting game time at United, due to RVP and Rooney partnership working well. Hernandez behind them two in pecking order. He is still probably seen as a good prospect for United. I would take him on loan, I actually rate him as a player. Saying that there would be a good number of clubs in for him if he was available.
yeah, boring isn't it! just back to rumours, i read an absolute beaut on twitter the other day claiming that villa were preparing a '£9m move for norwhich's out-of-favour winger wes hoolihen, to reunite him with the man who took him to norwhich' i can't find fault with that kind of accurate reporting. don't know about you but i believe him
I've heard that Norwhich are doing quite well! Haven't seen anything of this winger but heard he's a lot better down the middle. £9mill would be good for them!
That just oozes class - Four (4) mistakes, in only one (1) single sentence I do think we should hold out for £9.25m, though? P.S. reading it through again, I can now see FIVE (5) cock ups in it
Reason Lewis Holtby is going to Spurs at end of season is because it's a bosman signing. And £12 Million for Zaha is that ridiculous, if Palace get promoted his price will go up even more, so now is probably the best time to sign him.
Does anyone actually think Zaha will live up to the hype? I don't for sure. It's going to be the same with this kid Will Hughes - supposedly Barcelona have looked at him (not unusual, I would imagine), and all of a sudden he's the English Messi. Spurs have also signed Ezekiel Fryers (and upset Fergie), while we're talking about January transfers.
There is no way of knowing how he would react to a big move, with all the additional pressure that comes with it. I do think he has the attributes to be a very good player though. In all fairness, I actually haven't seen much of Zeki Fryers, but what I've seen of him he doesn't seem like a future United ,or Spurs for that matter, player anyway, they lost about 2 million on him United.
the thing is with zaha is that he still very raw talent. at times he looks like he could be the next george best, the next he looks like the next carlton palmer. if he fulfils his potential then he will be an outstanding player but how many kids truly fulfil that promise? he should stay at palace a couple more years in my opinion. i would have said that if he wanted to leave then go to man united - fergie will sort him out better than anyone could - but on reflection, even he is losing his touch having fallen out with young talent such as the aforementioned fryers, paul pogba and the ludicrously talented and ludicrously ill-disciplined ravel morrison.
i heard some villa fan on the radio saying they should sign hoolahan because he is available dream on lad, he's just signed a new contract
He misses one game because Hughton wants to give the reserves a chance and suddenly he's available, oh dear!
I agree it's too early for him to make the move to a team like United, but probably the best time for a team like United to go in for him. I remember at the time that Wigan bought Victor Moses everyone was pretty puzzled as the rumours were he had top European teams interested in him. I know he went pretty cheap because Palace went into administration. Look how he has turned out though, few years to mature at Wigan and last season they would have gone down if they didn't have him. What I've seen of him at Chelsea this year he has been pretty good too, I think he will probably improve even more and potentially establish himself in the first team at Chelsea. Maybe all the young players should look at him as an example, being patient is sometimes the best. First team football develops players most.
moses is a good example. even when he first moved to wigan he struggled to get in their side. he's made good career decisions so far and must have been advised really well
Has had Martinez to help him. Moses' career path has been excellent for him to do as well as he can. He has done really well at Chelsea.
i think he's more the 'finished article' than zaha. cracking player. reminds me of david platt* *not the one from corrie
