    Hello one and all,

I have arrived to inform, and inform i shall; for i have written one of the greatest pieces of literature, and most pretentious, elongated shopping lists one is likely to encounter in a life-time.

It's a lengthy read, so do not be adverse to getting up off your behind, putting the kettle on, and arming yourself with a warm beverage at hand before tackling this bad boy...

    http://services.pinkun.com/FORUMS/PINKUN/CS/blogs/canary_amongst_seagulls/archive/2011/05/10/2528190.aspx

Feedback is welcome, although i ask of you to ease up on the criticism.

I have a sensitive ego, and it wishes to continue on its wonderment of grandiose delusion in merriment.

    Enjoy.

I enjoyed reading it too, just one thing, your suggestions include half the current Swansea team! We finished above them. ;)

Good article, though i thought your choice of words regarding Brighton's Bennett a bit strange, "Lambert tapping up the player". Surely not.

Good stuff SKC, enjoyed reading that.

Monarch, enough with the Colu_Mike-esque diatribe. <laugh>

Just thought it a strange choice of words, enjoyed reading the article.
So who do you think will be released?, Cody Mac would be a good signing for us,though he might settle on Gillingham.

    Thanks Gandy. <cheers>

And on a purely phonetic basis, i'm more than happy to let you deal with any 'peace' negotiations on this thread. ;)

As for McDonald monarch, he's come from as modest a background as any in our squad, and his success in turn symbolic of the defiance of the underdog. His record in League Two has been impressive, winning Player of the Season in League Two in his first full season of professional football. In essence as much as we could have asked of him.

The last thing i'd want is to see him leave the club just yet. He's shown as much potential as Davide Somma did last year, and he's stepped up to the Leeds team with relative ease. He deserves his chance, if not in the Premier League just yet, the Championship (on loan).

    Thanks Max.

As for Ameobi, i'm beginning to suspect he only loved us for our local Asda branch.

I have some, but I'd upset Dave if I shared them! <laugh>

He's a local lad, and an ex City academy player, so it's good to see him doing ok. He's scored more for Col U this season than the combined total for the last few seasons. Ward must be an incredible coach!

By the way, Monarch, hope you weren't caught up in that earthquake in any way. That wasn't far from where you are, was it?

Hi NC, Henderson is being offered a new contract so Ward must see something in him, thinking back to his debut for us
seem to remember he came on as sub,and got sent off almost straight away, cant remember who we were playing, just that we got stuffed 5-0.
Re the earthquake,we are about 18 miles from Lorca as the crow flies, about 5.00 o'clock we felt a slight rumble, sitting on the terrace about 7.00 having dinner there was a noise like a train then the whole house shook, thats when i found out the colour of adrenalin, christ it was scary.
We normaly go to Lorca market on a Friday, then have some lunch, but because the roof of the tunnel under Lorca Castle has collapsed the main Motorway (AP 7) is closed,so you can imagine what it's like down there.

    Blimey Monarch. sounds scary.

Most people don't think of Spain as seismically active, but having studied a bit about plate tectonics, (and I mean since leaving school in the sixties <laugh>), I know it can be because of the fault line under the Med (Open University Geology geek!). Even so, must have been a shock (no pun intended)

Thoughts go out to those killed and injured, and their families.
