    In the Fail:

Agent: Talks are needed to resolve Stewart's future

CAMERON Stewart will sit down to discuss his Hull City future with manager Steve Bruce following stinging comments from his boss last weekend.

The 21-year-old winger, who has spent time on loan at Burnley this season, failed to grasp a chance to impress when returning to the City first-team in Saturday's 1-1 FA Cup draw with Leyton Orient.

It was a return which saw Bruce criticise Stewart's physical condition, and clearly now out of favour at the KC, Stewart's agent Peter Morrison says talks will be staged soon.

"I can't really comment on where Cameron goes next before we sit down and speak to Steve Bruce, which is what we will do," Morrison told the Mail.

"I don't want to be talking about potential moves for Cameron before talking to Steve, but perhaps something can be sorted in the coming weeks."

Stewart has suffered a dramatic fall from grace at the KC, with the Tigers having rejected a £1.5m bid from Nigel Pearson at Leicester in the transfer window this time last year.

Morrison admits 'big money' was available to Stewart at that time, but says the former Manchester United youngster has been dealing with the disappointment well.

"He sees it as all being part and parcel of football," he said.

"Cameron has been unfortunate. He went out on loan to Burnley this season looking for some football, but then Eddie Howe left for personal reasons to return to Bournemouth, and he found himself not in the plans of Sean Dyche.

"The only conversation I have had with Steve Bruce was about his return to Hull before Saturday's match, so we need to sit down again and look forward."

what i grasp from what this Agent says is that Stewart accepts his " fall from grace " as being " part n parcel of football "
Now to me this is the words of a shoulder shrugger or someone who is looking to blame someone else for how things panned out.

"Cameron has been unfortunate. He went out on loan to Burnley this season looking for some football, but then Eddie Howe left for personal reasons to return to Bournemouth, and he found himself not in the plans of Sean Dyche." this also reads as someone looking to blame someone other than themselves .
If you are dropped from a managers plans theres usually a reason,

I accept Stewart must be feeling disappointed with the last 12 months but he cant mope around feeling sorry for himself as he is still in a very privileged position .

"Morrison admits 'big money' was available to Stewart at that time, but says the former Manchester United youngster has been dealing with the disappointment well."

That's an extract from the article, not a direct quote from his agent, but the suggestion there is that he was disappointed not to join Leicester. So therefore are we to assume that he's just been sulking ever since?

The little **** wants his head knocking off.

I wonder if he'll be guided/encouraged and 'given a chance' by SB. But, when you think of the way Cooper was let go, to Chesterfield, it looks as if Brucey is only wanting 'fully-formed' players. That being said, he was pretty complimentary about Dougie Wilson after the Cup game.....

i dont think Bruce has time to nurture Stewart further , he clearly has talent and needs to be playing but it would be far too risky.

Tho i think he did it with Jakupovic

I think Jaku was more of a 'Hobson's Choice' for SB. We'd not have been able to sell Jaku and so he was still on the books. Amos had turned crap and there wasn't an alternative.

Stewart and Brady fell out, Brady was packed off home and Stewart got a deal. Brady learnt that he needed to muscle up and be a stronger player. Stewart got injuried and the Xbox took over. He did not fit in at Burnley and comes back with more chips on his shoulders than Bob Carvers servers on. Saturday.
One player boy to a man, the other hasn't left the playground.
We all wanted to see Brady and Stewart terrorising defences with their attacking runs. We never got it, instead we had the two of them bitching about who was the better at step overs.
Nothing wrong with either lad, they both have the skill set, one has overtaken the other in maturity. We all know that we had a team that comprised mainly of a group of you g players who bonded, but the downside is that anyone that gets placed outside of the group, can get isolated. Brady was not in the group in the latter part of his first season with us.

Stewart was abysmal against Leyton Orient. I was really disappointed because I thought he'd come back and try to earn himself a first team spot.

It'd be best for both the Club and Stewart if he moved elsewhere.

Who would have him based on the last 12 months?
As stated teams can not nuture in the second half of the season when things start to get even more frantic.he has had his nuturing years at Manchester. If he didn't learn it then he never will.

I can see him going back out on an emergency loan to league one in the last chance saloon. "Prove what you can do and we'll have a clean slate here waiting for you next season"

I just cant see him getting his head right, not hear anyway. He needs to be cuddled 24/7 by the sounds of it.

I accept that Cam is not as fit as he should be, but look at the photo on that article, you'd hardly describe him as being overweight.

I think SB will give him one last shot at it here, no one is going to take him for cash ato this moment in time, so unless he's thrown into the reserves, which might do him good & would give SB & the team to have a look at him & keep tabs on him. If he goes out on loan, it has to be to a team that, (a) can be trusted & (b) is going to get played. Barnsley look like losing players hand over fist, I'm sure that he could fit in there quite well, although depends on who takes over, Scunny would be a good call to & in a lower league we could really see if he has it still, because he could murder that league.
Firstly though before anything he has to have the right attitude & show SB that he wants to be here, otherwise it's all for nothing.

I wish I was as overweight as Stewart looks in that photo!

He's only 21, there's clearly talent there as well. Look at Gareth Bale, 2 years ago he was nowhere, now he's one of the best players in the world.

I'm not saying Cam will be as good, but it just shows that players need nurturing and developing until their mid 20s, and get the head right and you'll get the player.

I recall when CS was here last year when he was playing there was a lot of people saying that he needed to bulk up as he was too easily knocked off the ball, maybe he has decided to bulk up but not done it under any sort of supervised direction.

A player needs to want to get better for that to happen.

Cam got a pretty bad injury and it knocked his head a bit.
He got sent out to Burnley to get some game time but it didn't work out.

The question is ............... What did Camron do about it ?

Looks to me like he sat on his arse, collecting his fat wage packet, playing with his Xbox and feeling sorry for himself.
Did he pick the phone up to Steve Bruce and say ..................... Boss, i'm not playing here, can you send me somewhere else so I can get fit or bring me back so I can train with the rest of the lads ?
    Did he fook.

No, sorry I don't fall for this "he needs a cuddle sh*te", he needs a good kick in the slats imo for wasteing the talent that he has.

Maybe he did fall out with Brady but Brady went back to Man U and thanks to fergy and joycey, he got his head down and graffed.
When he came back here, his was 10 times the player and thankfully, we are lucky enough that he has just signed up with us for the next 3 1/2 years.

Instead of sulking and bleating to his agent, he should get off his arse and prove the many doubters he has WRONG

Must be a malaise our reserves have.

Apparently Devitt was awesome for Grimsby for 5 minutes but then blowing for the rest of the match.

Stewart didn't even do enough to blow.

Still don't really understand why he was subbed on 89 minutes though. That's usually time wasting or reserved for someone who has had a good game so the crowd can clap him off!
