I'm completely behind Ze & Hash on this issue. I'm also a bit upset that Mick & BRB didn't even discuss this with me. I've modded the Liverpool forum since its inception, the least I deserve is some communication on the issue, not just have you removed and wait for me to notice. There should have been a proper discussion. The admins have taken the mods word on bannings hundreds of times over the last couple of years without getting the point of view from the banee, what's the difference between acting without word from the dickhead getting banned and having the mod act on behalf of the admin? If anything the admins should look in to how a loophole like this has been created and fix it, whether that be a discussion with Vbulliten or a review on how the mod profiles are created.

The Liverpool FC forum is an integral forum within the not606 domain, so much so that "Liverpool FC" appears in the site's metatags within the HTML code. This forum can only survive and prosper with the right mods and for the first time in a long time we had the right team in place. If these guys do not get their mod jobs back, i'll also be considering my position.

its all gone a bit pete tong on here hasn't it.

not a regular user so my opinion doesn't carry much weight, but from what i have seen lately the Liverpool forum would be fecking ridiclous without the mods we have/had in place, they all seem like a good bunch.

i used to mod another forum and see a familiar pattern merging here, so be careful with what is going on here as rival fans will just run a mock and the Liverpool fans will just think feck it and will just go elsewhere.

seems strange timing as well, considering who we have this weekend, this board will be fun, not!

Thanks for your support guys. It's a shame that I had to find out that I'd lost my modship by seeing a thread on it, didn't get a mail or anything. I abused a loophole, for the good of the board, by banning someone who should have been banned anyway, without consent of the Supermod. However, I still stick by the decision that he should be banned, but decided to bypass the lengthy process of going to brb to have it done so, anyone who remembers the ben arfa incident will know why.

If Mick won't re-instate Hash and I, then fine, but I maintain that neither of us used the loophole to cause trouble... If anything we are mavericks for the people, we're the heroes that the Liverpool board deserve, but not the one it needs right now, and so they'll hunt us because we can take it. Great speeches lads for what its worth I think the boards always been really well run. Enough banter to keep it lively and not just Reds only (which would get a bit dull) but rarely does it go too far without action being taken. I find it hard to believe that it could be done with less than 3 or 4 mods so hope it all gets sorted or I fear a lot of people will just stop using the site and that would be a shame.

He deserved his ban and it was the correct move at the right time, Mick should imo take a look at the whole modding process and adjust it where it's needed.

I hope he re-instates you both because along with bow&Bozz you've been good for our board.

 

It was never going to work for hash as there's no Z in his user name - maybe he should change it to Hazh ?

This weekend may be fun with less mods the wums will go nuts on this board if we lose, not that I think we will. Self modding and not rising to the wums is the order for Sunday.

At this moment the board is surrounded by wums like sharks circling a shipwreck, if we lose they attack. I hope the players are aware of what's going on here.

Yep, in his latest 3 guises hes been a pest on our board.

Funny thing is Eric since he got his arse kicked off our board hes gone from villain to hero on your board.

 

Ben Arfa? Matt deserved his ban also though bloody spammer.

 

But they didn't just ban Matth from the LFC board they banned him from the whole site.

I've always had a man crush on Matth, mainly due to my emotional attachments to my other user accounts

 

I know dave, but your crush aside don't you think that as he'd been banned from the site before(permanently)by Mick that he should have backed 'his' mods up and blocked his membership again?

 

Depends it it was a permanent ban.

A few users have returned from previous bans and been allowed to post. Was he spamming that bad ?

 

He spoilt a few and posted a few threads, reckoned he was warned he'd be banned if he posted on the Utd board.

So his first port of call was our board.

 

I er...hashs friend have been instructed to inform you all ,he wont be taking back position of mod. Its a pain in the hole tbh but thanks to everyone who has been writing support. Also he would like it clarified he did not piss himself, it was skys sexy sister pissed in the bed and hash being a gent took the blame.

 

The good news for you though is that he has 'predicted' a United win on sunday.

Being a mod is a bit of a thankless task in fairness, as you can get it from all side.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the issue here appears to be, that posters have been banned from the site, rather than just the Liverpool board that the mods concerned were responsible for? They've therefore knowingly over stepped their authority level & lost the trust of the site owner & had their mods badge removed, is that about it?

If so, I can see both sides tbh, the lads should have banned the posters concerned from their own board & left it there, why have concerns beyond that if it's not their remit to police it?

On the other hand they maybe deserved a warning shot from the owner before having their badges removed.

Whichever it is, no-ones died ffs, it's a footie forum lads
