Perhaps the mods on the United board were very lenient, but i will take a different approach. A bit of harmless digs are fine but when hatred is being spouted, then them posts do not belong on a site. I deserve to be paid for the effort i have gone to so far
I think a little international flair is needed..... not sure how I would rule though....... please log in to view this image
Thanks for your support guys. It's a shame that I had to find out that I'd lost my modship by seeing a thread on it, didn't get a mail or anything. I abused a loophole, for the good of the board, by banning someone who should have been banned anyway, without consent of the Supermod. However, I still stick by the decision that he should be banned, but decided to bypass the lengthy process of going to brb to have it done so, anyone who remembers the ben arfa incident will know why. If Mick won't re-instate Hash and I, then fine, but I maintain that neither of us used the loophole to cause trouble... If anything we are mavericks for the people, we're the heroes that the Liverpool board deserve, but not the one it needs right now, and so they'll hunt us because we can take it. Because we're not heroes, we're silent guardians, watchful protectors... Liverpool Board Moderators.
Also.. I'd like to throw this into my defence...
but decided to bypass the lengthy process of going to brb to have it done so that point right there should be made on your mod forum, what's the point in having to wait a while to get permission to remove someone, and in the meantime it could mean you lose regular users as the little turd can say what they like. also what is the logic behind mods of boards having to go to someone else to get permission to remove someone and have to wait god knows how long for a reply. seems a strange setup, only advice i can give if it helps rather than having to go wherever you do to get someone removed from the board just keep deleting their comments, trust me that anoys them a lot. also if it is possible to code, why not have a button in place where mods can just ban a user from a board for 24 hours say, as we all say things in the heat of the moment and usually when you come back the next day you would have a clearer head.
I've already mentioned that the said loophole should just become the norm it worked well and served its purpose. Well done for finding a solution to what was a really annoying problem.
It is ridiculous tbh. We clearly have the worst wumming on not606, but some of the most tolerant mods. Personally I think the mods could be a bit tougher, as they are on the other boards. Drogs kicked me off the Chav board months and months ago for nothing and I know a lot of people are banned from the utd board. You shouldn't have to go to a higher mod about your actions, but it should be equal and fair on all boards. Instead we have ended with a mecca for wums, where nearly every thread is hijacked and ruined.
I really don't understand why any board's Mods should have to go to some SuperMod to merely ban any poster from their board. Surely, the SuperMod should be the point of appeal and have the responsibility of banning from the site.
News just in. Johnny Cochrane is coming back from the dead to clear the guys names, if he was able to get OJ aquitted this will be a piece of piss
Swarbs was the one causing hassle the other day, very bad example from a mod but he did not get his powers removed, and from what i can see his was worse than banning someone who has already been banned. Seems somewhat hypocritical to me to have a mod like swarbs, but as he is on the united board doesn't really bother me that much, well i say he is on the utd board but we sll know where his heart lies
In fairness though he'd already been banned from our board and yours hadn't he? He'd had a fair few warnings from Bow about being a random divvy. He'd been tolerated for a while but at the end of the day he makes the site (and our board in particular) a less enjoyable experience. Granted a site ban seems harsh but this should have been sorted with a slap on the wrist rather than Hash and Ze being ****ed off.
Anyway, I'm still utterly devastated that I was overlooked for the United mod position in favour of Alan. I've already made myself a mod badge and a custom made mod cape in preparation of the call
