If we don't sign anybody Dyer and Diakite off

    --------------Cesar----------------

    Onuoha---Mbia----Hill------Traore(if fit)

    ---------Derry------Granero--------

    Dyer---------Taarabt----------SWP

    -------------Cisse/DJ-------------

What are your thoughts? I dropped Mackie as I feel he's been poor lately and maybe needs some rest.

No place for Dyer here? Going by the match reports against the WBA he was our best player

In my opinion we need Onouha's pace and SWP tracking back on our right side to try and keep Bale quiet.

I'd also like to see Granero and Faurlin partnered again against Spurs like they did in the away game with great success. Without Nelsen in the centre of defence I hope Arry picks Mbia to protect Hill and Ben Haim.

Up front we need someone to hold up possesion like Zamora did at White Hart Lane and run the channels, Cisse won't do, so either it must be Adel like against Chelsea or Mackie which have done well up front when picked.

See where you coming from but don't fancy Mackie starting up front. Cisse, DJ or as you suggest Adel for me. Also I think Adel is best used centrally if not up front, right behind the striker.

For me, I think the defence is an easy pick

    Caesar

    Fabio Onuoha Hill Traore

After that its tricky but I wouldn't mind seeing Taarabt up front again and I'd definitely have Dyer in there somewhere. I'd also. Have Granero and Mbia on. Would pick Hoilett but he's not fit.

    Onuoha--------Nelsen---Hill---------Fabio

This is assuming that Traore, Granero and Hoilett are injured.

    At least Nelsen will play.
Need a bit of speed and grit to counter Bale (so Fabio and Derry will play)...and am sure we will start with DJ.
But Diakite has gone off to Africa hasn't he? And Dyer has just gone

    -----------Cesar-----------------
    Hiam/Onuha--------Nelsen---Hill---------Fabio
    --------------Derry----Faurlin-------------
    Mackie/SWP-----------M'Bia-----------Taarabt
    -----------------DJ-------------------

Granero and Hoilett are injured and Beth has reminded me that Diakite has gone to the acon. So:

    ------------------Cesar------------------
    Onuoha------Nelsen----Hill----------Fabio
    -------------Derry----Faurlin-------------
    Mackie-----------M'Bia------------Taarabt
    ----------------Cisse--------------------

I'd prefer Taarabt in the middle, but that would mean SWP starting!

Our right flank will decide the game. Bale has to be stopped. Onouha has to start at RB and probably SWP ahead of Mackie on the right wing purely because of his pace.
If we stop Bale, Spuds will be there for the taking.

I thought I read Diakite said he wasn't going to Africa, was going to stay and help us instead? Perhaps I was dreaming! If Granero isn't fit I'd go something like this:

    ----------------Cesar-----------------
    Onuha--------Nelsen---Hill---------Fabio
    -----------M'bia----Faurlin-------------
    SWP-----------Taarabt-----------Traore
    -----------------Cisse-------------------
