So what do we think of Belhanda then? If rumours are to be believed (and they always are ) we're trying to make a bid of just below £10m.
Just a bit of info: Ive heard that Totenham are going to sign a young french player (14) called Jele Isle. Very slippery runner ive heard
His first name is Jelly? Slippery indeed. Damiao and moutinho would be awesome. But can moutinho really play in the hole? Seems like a waste to spend that much on a player we've already got a perfectly decent alternative for in dembele. Belhanda would be good, but the cheaper options to eriksen and isco. And not as good as hazard or oscar who we went for last time out. Definitely second string purchase. Would he be that much better than sig or demp or holtby for that matter?
I saw this earlier and got all excited. "Wow. RT @SpursOfficial: We're delighted to announce that we have reached agreements with Porto for the signing of Joao Moutinho." Checked the Spurs page and couldn't find the corresponding tweet. I then saw the tweet-er was someone called 'The Bandwagoner' GOT ME ALL EXCITED FOR NOTHING
This just in... "Damaio has been offered to #THFC whilst there has been progression with Moutinho deal now Sneijder is off. Damaio will cost £25m." That at least sounds more realistic in terms of Damiao's price.
Eriksen won't be any cheaper by the sounds of things. He's 20odd mill and Ajax won't sell in a January, just like we had with Verts. Isco is apparently a target for city and Chelsea and we supposedly wouldn't be able to afford the wages. Moutinho is box to box. So it's likely dembele might be used in the hole, with sandro and moutinho sitting along side one another. All I'm reading is that moutinho is AVB's top target, so I'm presuming something like that will happen in terms of formation. Apparently we have an interest in belhanda, but he's not a priority. (Wait for moutinho to fall down again, then he'll become one! I've also read that Damiao wants the move. Apparently levy has gone back with a 15mill bid for the 3rd window in a row, not 25m. Again, just what I've been reading from those who have links to the club, so they say. Does seem legit though.
My mate who gets the odd bit of info from his "source" said to me last night that Damiao apparantly wants to come but won't force a transfer from Inter as he's happy to stay. Not proper ground breaking info but I reckon it's believable.
yeah that's what I've been reading from the usual suspects too, SOS. unfortunately, unless he kicks up a fuss, we're going to struggle I think. Must be one hell of a job trying to sort that transfer out. Moutinho can't be any easier either. u heard anything else? it's all gone quiet in the last couple days.
Yeah I mean in a way I respect him though, because I wouldn't want a player (ala Modric ) kicking up a fuss to leave the club. If you want to leave fair enough, but keep your head down and hope all can get agreed. Nope... That was the first bit of "info" I got passed on and like you say, most of the ITK's were pretty much saying that anyway. I'm hoping for a "Moutinho/ Leandro is done!!!" text but I can't see that happening... At least until the 31st... Of January 2016
hahaha, if the deals happen, they'll go to the wire. - who knows, if it looks like they might fall through, perhaps we'll see Modric back on loan its going to be a long long month.
Don't know much about him or whether this is accurate, but I'll chuck it in on a slow morning... http://translate.google.com/transla...sferts/fil-info/tottenham-sur-belhanda-607745
Really wouldn't surprise me if papers say we've enquired/ made a move for Modric soon, it's a perfect story for them to make money on. Definitely going to be a long month!
Willdo, are you sure it's not dildo? If he signs for that lot he must be. I like the look of Belhanda.
I was saying Belhanda looked like a potential smart signing during the summer, as he can play on the wing and in the hole and has been a good source of goals for Montpellier the last couple of seasons. There was an interesting piece in the Standard yesterday asking why English clubs don't scour Spain for bargains more often - Geoffrey Kondogbia of Sevilla is available for around £4m, Fede Vico of Cordoba is apparently cheap due to being in the Segunda Division (and looks like a top prospect), whilst Leo Baptistao of Rayo Vallecano has a £2m release clause and he's been banging them in this season.
Baptistao has 17 goals in 16 games so would be good value as a backup striker at the very least, Wenger's been looking at Kondogbia (although that's not necessarily any indication of quality), although Vico I'm 50/50 as he's compared to Bale/The Showpony like about 703 other prospects per season.
