Just read that Keiron Dyer has been released by koo pee arr, days after scoring his first goal for them and keeping them in the cup. I would say "there's gratitude for you", but I guess they have been paying him richly to sit on his arse the past 18 months so he probably can't grumble too much. What I was amazed about was the fact he has 33 England caps!!!
'arrys clear out begins then. Dyer has a shocking injury record so you can see why suggest 'arry focuses on the defence next (apart from Ceasar)
I don't know what to make of this: QPR's Ryan Nelsen has been appointed manager of Toronto FC. They want him to be in place when their season starts in March, but he has a contract with QPR until May, which Redknapp may force him to see out. I will never understand that bunch at Loftus Road.
i really rate ryan nelson. qpr will miss him if he has to leave before may. he's their best centre half (i know it doesn't say a lot) and although they'll look to replace him it'll cost them a lot
DH, he's their best defender, put some absolute blinders in this season. you can see why 'arry doesn't want him to go. Trouble is, if he wants to go (and i understand he played there for 4 years) and his head is gone, they won't want him there.
Stats show that Nelsen is QPR is their best defender! They're replacing him with Ben-Haim, who while with Portsmouth in League 1 was apparently on £35,000 a week! Also, one of Dyer's 4 starts, his debut, ended 2 minutes in!
I know Kieran Dyer is a scummer, but you have to feel for him. Any player who is blighted with injury throughout their career if very unfortunate, could happen to any player.
i feel for anyone who's struggled with long-term injuries, but several thousand pounds a week means I sympathise with him less than some.
I was precarious about using the word the word "sympathetic" in my post, I know he's been earning big wages whilst on the sidelines but it still must be pretty hard mentally to keep getting injured as soon as you step on the pitch. I think actually he could have been a England regular had he stayed fit.
Absolutely no doubt in my mind, he looked incredible as a youngster (which I just about remember ) also DH, I understand Nelsen has now left which is both interesting and hilarious
The Hooper rumour is back I see, reportedly were set to offer him 30k a week. In the whole scheme of things that's peanuts for a striker in this league. Will it happen, I will be very suprised if it does.
ben-haim is a very poor centre half. typical 'arry signing - someone he knows and someone who is overpaid!
its from james nursey once again. he may be a city fan but he has no ties to the club at all. he might have heard something, who knows, but certainly when i questioned him on twitter about a certain rumour (which i knew was untrue) he said he guessed! typical red top journalism...
danny welbeck to reading on loan? i believe mcdermott knows or has at least had a few chats with fergie can we have some of that please. the gary hopper one won't go away will it - i can't see it happening though
I'd sooner agree with a QPR fan before I agree with anything Nursery or a red top journalist says about transfer rumours.
i had heard whispers that we might be interested in taking welbeck on loan. naturally, i just laughed it off as fanciful...
what have reading got that we haven't? oh yeah, a mad russian. i can't see them spending heavily though, too risky.
