So if i am reading this thread right, if you lose on Sunday it is the ref`s fault. Oh well, one day we may beat you fair and square.

If you look at his united performances.

Refs when an incident happens are supposed to stand back and watch who does what.

Webb has on many occasions prevented United players, Fletcher for one, from getting into trouble by holding him back, he has placed himself to shield United players on more than one occasion when incidents flare up, this is very strange as we know Barton was allowed to run amok v City and the ref just watched it all unfold as what refs are supposed to do, they are not meant to get into the middle of players ect, that aint their job

would like to vote for most of the baove but not the 6+ minutes cos if webb does his job utd won't be losing will he?

Evans if he plays will dive in two footed then roll about and the opposing player will be sent off (sturrdige most likely)

but i do agree that hernandez will score LFC seem incapable of marking the useless bench warmer.

at least we have an excuse eh boys? long gone are the days where we expect to win anyhting eh? get an exuse and lcing to it... cover up our teams ****e defensive record and lazy midfield with the webb effect.

More smoke when a terrible referee gets such high profile games.

Smoke Fire. Given his history of bad decisions in this tie how on earth can this not be rigged if Webb yet again gets this game.

its like knowing politicians are all dirty and that lobbyists run the country. Yet the whole of society continues as if this is not true<doh> The corruption in the prem is the same, no one will challenge it cos they'll get fooked over for even trying.

You'll need some extremely heavy hitters to take on corruption in Football in England, only when the arse falls out like in Italy will anything change, the things we'll be hearing in 50 years about Riley and Gill will be enlightening but it will take that long to come out.

How long did it take for us to find out Inter bought the ref for the EC final?

But Webb isn't viewed as a 'terrible referee' by his association, the FA, the Premier League, UEFA & FIFA is he?

Webb gets these games as he's carved a niche for himself as the main man when it comes to 'big games'.

For me, he's a ref that usually takes the path of least resistance, & avoids making contentious decisions, by not making a decision! He's the polar opposite of Clittenberg. Webb only gives the obvious therefore he makes fewer mistakes, as 'not seeing it' is viewed as more acceptable than calling it wrong.

p.s. The conspiracy theory is mental

Webb does come across as a ref that seems to give most of the decisions to the home team, whoever they are, explains why he always seems to be the common choice for ref for utd at home games <ok>
